(H)Owls of Protest - Casual Raiding Guild Recruiting - Arathor (EU)

The Owls of Protest are a guild that have been raiding on a casual basis since long before it became fashionable. This summer will see our 5th anniversary.

We are a mature casual guild that works under one simple principle; you will never be forced to do anything that you do not want to do. As a result we have no attendance requirements, relying instead on a larger pool of players to fill our raids. The aim will always be to ensure that everyone that wants to raid will get an opportunity to do so, to the extent that everyone, including officers, have to take their turns.

We are currently looking to recruit a few more members, to cover for people that are taking breaks from the game at the moment (not everyone seems to have fallen in love with Catacysm!)

What we offer to you:

* A mature guild, where you can relax and enjoy the game
* Experienced raid leaders to take you through everything Cata has to offer
* Guild teamspeak server for your use in raids and elsewhere
* Guild bank to assist in providing raiding materials (flasks and so on)



What we expect from you:

* You should be a self motivating player; you decide how to play the game, not us!
* You should be mature in outlook, guild drama is not something we will accept
* If you do choose to raid we expect your toon to be ready to raid; gemmed, enchanted and so on
* Guild chat is a friendly place. If you want to curse at people, we are not the place you want
* Bosses in Cata are tough; if you aren't prepared to wipe, don't try to raid!



The Owls are currently a level 22 guild. Our raid nights are currently Friday, Sunday and Tuesday from 20:45ST to approximately midnight ST. We are currently 9/12 on bosses down in this tier. Bear in mind that because of our open raiding philosophy, we are never going to be a cutting edge raiding guild. If hard-modes are very much your aim, this is probably not the right guild for you.

We believe very much in the notion of "bring the player, not the class", so we will are not closed to any particular class or role. However, there are some classes that are likely to be more open than others; currently Warlocks, Priests of all specs, Boomkin and Feral druids and DPS Death Knights have lower representations. We would be keen to see applications from a healer or two of any class other than druid. Check on our website at http://www.owlsofprotest.co.uk for up to date details.

We are also very open to applications from people to join our community. If you have no wish to raid, but wish to find a place to call home, we would be delighted to welcome people that fit with our philosophy. Joining in with the raiding side of the game at a later point would still be possible of course.
