So long as the Leafs play a smart game and stay out of the box, they got it in the bag. Detroit looks slow and sloppy in the offensive zone.

Edit: Make that the defensive zone too.

Ian White actually became a decent player while playing under Wilson. I was sad to see him go because he was a good work horse of a D man when he is on his game, but sometimes he just isn't physical enough for his size. But I guess when you are competing for top line minutes with guys like Phaneuf, Schenn and Komisarek who are all good D men in their own right, he was expendable.

oh i agree, he has been nothing short of amazing this year, especially for 2 Million, but tonight he has blown it twice.

Holy shit Phaneuf's jaw looks bad. I wonder if thats from the shot or the dozen shattered teeth they probably had to pull.

Still 3-0. Detroit's picking it up a bit though.

Datsyuks line has been the only line to do ANYTHING against Toronto. still, 2 periods left.

Busy weekend for Detroit too. Playing Chicago tomorrow. Good to see it's airing on TSN so I'll have something to watch.

Toronto has two back to backs this month, one Friday/Saturday and one Monday/Tuesday in the home and home against the Islanders (can anyone say easy 4 points?).

    Phaneuf's goal was a 148 Km/h shot.

That Red Wings power play was absolutely terrible, they can't generate much at all. The Leafs are blocking their shots and Gustavsson is playing well enough.

I like how the announcer said "an octopus made it here all the way from Detroit..."

...Detroit is like what, a 4 hour drive from Toronto?

I think it's 6 hours, never made the drive though so I couldn't tell you. With the way I drive, I could make it there in less time then most people :P

They couldn't withdraw that goal, it was pretty damn legitimate, but it would have been stupid not to review it since it was a high stick.
