I assume you know something about ice hockey and know the difference between playing with 4 D and 6-7 D.
Also the Finns have two very good defensemen, Saarijärvi and Juolevi, the other's are average - still decent defesemen.
Obviously the offense Finns got is vastly better. Remember Aho, too.. I have been wondering for couple of years why people don't talk about him, he is just as good as Puljujärvi or Laine, but he is only one year older...
Ouch, that was a tough loss, so close to beating Russia.
Yea, I had to dual screen the first 15 minutes of Sweden - Slovakia just too see if you made it :P
Also my shots at Finland was ofc abit too hard, but you get my point. I can't see how you are going to be able to win the entire thing with the defense you have.
But now that I have said that you will ofc go on and win it all and I have to eat my words xD
Vehviläinen been quite bad this whole tournament. And two hazard passes from defenders gave Canada two free goals. Luckily, Canada also cannot stop Pulju, Aho, Laine trio. Even though Canada is playing a lot better than any of the previous opponents.
Finnish defense in general remains a problem though. You can't always expect to score 4-5 goals.
Looks like we just want to see Pulju and Laine play some more in this tournament, we'll just take ourselves out!
Laine is going to be a helluva player, if we don't make the playoffs I hope to god we suck enough to pick top 3 to grab him
welp that was a fun game to watch. Lowry should be hanged for sending Virtanen out after taking TWO penalties in the same shift.

oh man saku koivu is out there, awesome. Sweden Finland should be great!
Luckily, Canada had Jake Virtanen. Don't really understand what that guy was doing on the tournament, by far the worst player on ice in both games I saw him play (Sweden - Canada and Finland - Canada).
Yep, we would have lost to Sweden anyways but Hockey Canada's arrogance has cost them another tournament. They send an offensive minded team with no real shut down plans and expect to win. They leave Blackwood in the entire game even when he's getting lit up. He refuses to play his entire team, leaning on the top 2 lines way too much. That's no way to win the tournament, horrendous coaching all throughout. That ontop of the team not being great this year and just facing a Finland team that wanted it more did us in. Even if they pulled it off today, would have been a slaughterfest vs Sweden.
Semifinals being Finland vs Sweden and USA vs Russia is quite delightful. The rivalry is soooo damn strong on both of those match ups. D:

Pure comedy.
One doesn't need to guess which lectures he skipped in school because of ice hockey. He quit school when he was 15 to focus on ice hockey.
