H Halfus 10 without a mage

So after a couple attempts we got all of Halfus' drakes down pretty consistently (excluding Slate which we don't release) with a 2 tank / 3 healer comp. We don't have a mage. With this in mind, how do we get the interrupt after the furious roars? This amount of raid damage simply dominates us at this point. Everything else is solid but we are consistently wiping at around 30% because we can't get those interrupted. We have a ret pally who bubbles himself in order to run in and interrupt one of them, but after that we have nothing. Is there anything short of PVP trinkets we can use to avoid this probably and get the boss down?

Paladins with bubble could do it if you have any. If you have only one, take the cast after his second furious roar.

Edit: didnt notice you said you had a ret pally. Well, which one is he taking?

This is a long shot, but I think a meta gem with reduced stun duration could help you get an interrupt off just right in time. Since it also has stam on it, it's not THAT bad of a gem for that fight for one of your tanks, if perhaps they got another headpiece to put it in.

Assuming you're Horde, nothing I can think of. If you're alliance have an interrupting human class racial out of it, and interrupt.

They really need to get rid of that racial.

Do you have a disc priest? Can powerword barrier through one. Stack up, pop barrier, and eat the damage. Or pally raid wall

Otherwise, pally bubble one like you say, dk one if you can. Does bop work on someone to ignore the stun?



Or go pvp trinkets. The ones with sp or ap + break effect on them shouldnt make or break your dps. You should only get 4 or so stuns with any luck.

If yu have a ret paladin bubbling and interrupt the first nova after the furious roar, it offsets all the rest of the novas, so yu should be able to hit them everytime without fail. We have to do the same thing because we have no other easy way to get out of them. Also the Icebound Fortitude thing doesn't work, it's a knockdown, not a stun.

Errr... I HAVE IBF'd out of the stun and interrupted on my DK. It is absolutely possible. Don't spread misinformation.

If you don't have enough paladins or a mage I suggest you just kill slate, it will reduce the amount of furious roars and the boss dies faster from 50%->0%
I also believe you can hand of protection to prevent stuns on furious roars meaning hop'ed people would be able to interrupt.

What you cold do aswell is to release slate. With some luck, the stun effect that slate gives will hit halfus before or when he does his roar (Seen it happen manny times).

No need to kill slate, just release and u get the stuns.

I'm afraid yu haven't. It. is. a. knockdown. Not a stun. Yu might have been able to interrupt the Shadow Nova just as yur knockdown wore off, but yu did not IBF out of the knockdown.

No, you are wrong. A quick google of icebound fortitude + halfus + interrupt shows you that I'm not alone by any means. I have broken the stun (it is a stun) with IBF. Absolutely.

Because other racials are nowhere beneficial. Sure.
Anyways ibf works just fine you are stuck in the animation but can use abilities as normal. Blessing of protection works as well. And I don't know if they fixed that but orc racial + stunreduce meta was also working.

Interupts such as rebuke work, you just have to be lucky with how far you get knocked back. Did it this week without our mage and struggled a little bit. I have a feeling both myself and our other tank died just as we downed him
