    New boss idea.

    I was recently thinking of a cool new boss. This is not an idea I'd like to see go live. Just a fun thought that I'd like to share with you guys. This is how I played it out. We engage the boss as his whatever form (robot,slime,etc.) and from there he has a chance of copying one of the 10/25 raiders in the fight. The fun factor of this boss would be YOU being the boss. You don't get MCd. Think of that slime pokemon that copies the other one.

    Let's talk mechanics. First I would imagine this boss to start off as his regular form. Throughout the fight he would have 5 phases. First phase would be his form. I would guess just regular tank and spank. Second phase would hit after 30 seconds into the fight. He randomly chooses a player and transforms into that player and it's class. So for example, he would have 10 choices of forms with limited spells for each form. Let's see your ideas to create this new fun boss. I'll start with the mage form. If you'd like to add mechanics to already said classes go right ahead.

    Let's say he chooses a mage to copy. The boss would now gain these abilities,

    Living bomb: Boss places a living bomb on one player(three for 25 man). That player must run away from the group or he'll wipe the raid if the bomb goes off. Dispelling would also cause the bomb to go off. Living bomb leaves a DoT on the player until it's removed.

    Fireball/Frost bolt: Cannot be interrupted. Boss casts at random members.

    Polymorph: Sheeps 3 targets for 10 seconds. Can be dispelled

    Summon Blizzard: Much like the Shade of Aaron blizzard. Move away from it.

    Again, this is not a "BLIZZ PLX LOOK AT MY THREAD AND MAKE IT HAPPEN!!". It's just a let's see where this goes thread lol.

    I like this idea, quite a bit. I could see that being a fun and completely random boss to fight.

    Caverns of Time
    The Infinite Abyss
    Broxigar The Red 423,191,164 / / 599,916,161
    Type: Orc
    Auto attack Swing timer - > 3 seconds

    ''What sorcery is this?! Sargeras show your self and your pathetic minions my axe grows tire of your games!''
    ''Broxigar your enemey is right in front of you... do as you must...!''
    ''You aren't demons...You-''
    ''Do not be fooled they are merely illusions! Dispel them Broxigar, Kill them all!''
    ''In the name of the Horde!!''


    Hellfire Cleave - Instant - Every 35 seconds

    - A powerful attack that inflicts 300% weapon damage to the main target and his closest allies by 5000% in addition the target will be engulfed in flames inflicting damage to nearby allies
    H 350% / / 10,000%

    Ashes to ashes - Insant - Cast with burning cleave

    - You are engulfed in flames inflicting 10% of broxigar's damage to nearby allies for 12 seconds, if Broxigar isn't attacking the target who has ashes to ashes the debuff will become a mark of detonation
    H 20%

    Mark of detonation - 2 second cast - Cast if Broxigar isn't attacking a target with Ashes to ashes

    - Will inflict 65,161 to 71,161 chaos damage to all nearby targets in 5 seconds
    H Kills all targets

    Wide Cleave - Every 60 seconds - ''Pathetic!''

    - A brutal sweeping attack that inflicts 301,161 phsyical damage to an entire cone of targets, splits the damage greatly if targets are close to each other.
    H 401,183 and knocks back players in several directions

    Phase 2 - ''Lok'tarogar!'' - After Wide cleave

    Shockwave - 3 second cast

    - Pounds your weapon through the earth devasting it from within causing it to shoot out random shockwaves that inflict 75% weapon damage and reduces movement speed by 100% in addition reduces attack speed and casting speed by 150% for 10 seconds
    H 100% / / 250%

    Battle cry - Instant - Cast after Shockwave

    - Increases damage by 15% and attack speed by 10% but increases damage taken by 5%
    H 30% / / 20% // Reduces damage taken by 5%
    * Multiplyer damage by 15% and attack speed by 20% H - 60% and 20%
    * Multiplyer by 5% damage
    * Multiplyer by 5% for decreasing damage taken in H

    Phase 3 - 60%

    ''Distractions are meaningless demons!''

    * Set script to spawn Infinite Decimator
    * Set script to spawn 3 Infinite Chrono magus

    Worm Hole - 3 second cast - Targets 2 -

    - Inflicting 32,161 arcane damage every 2 second for 4 seconds then transfers that target to another timeline forcing it to fend for themselves for 30 seconds
    H 44,151 and last until the Decimator has been killed / / Targets 4

    Sand Strike - > Instant - > Every 25 seconds

    - An instant strike that inflicts 150% weapon damage and wounds the target reducing all healing by 25% in addition reduces armor by 15%

    Absorbing Eye - > Passive H mechanic

    - Absorbing 1.5% of the targets health every auto attack

    Glinting Resolve - Passive H mechanic

    - Increases damage based on how low the infinite decimator is
    * For every 1% health loss, increase damage by 0.5%

    - Charges a target then Inflicts 46,161 to 53,171 phsyical damage and stuns Icehowl for 5 seconds, if the target dodges then the stun will last for 15 seconds
    H Kills the target

    Bloody Impale - > Buru - > Every 5

    - shoots out an array of spikes through the ground that Inflicts 52,016 phsyical damage and bleeds the target for 2% of it's health every 2 second for 6 seconds stacking up to 10%, if the target dodges then Buru will stop casting bloody impale for 15 seconds
    H 71,515 and stuns you for 3 seconds / / Bleed becomes 10% of it's health stacking up to 20% every 2 seconds

    Fel Breathe - > Felmyst - > Every 5

    - Breathes through several targets Inflicting 20,161 to 22,916 every 0.5 seconds for 5 seconds, if the target dodges then Felmyst will stop casting Fel breathe for 15 seconds
    H Tosses the target out and becomes mind controlled

    - Restoring 0.5% health every 3 seconds and reduces damage taken by 3%

    H 650% / / Cooldown of Warpflesh is reduced by 1 attack for everytime it's successful

    Sand trap - 2 second cast - Every 20 seconds - H mechanic - ''How does it feel to have your mouth close!''

    - A bubble of sand slowly creeps through the area, if targets stand near this nearby bubble then they are silenced by 20 seconds and have a reduced chance to hit by 55%
    H Sucks nearby targets and reduces haste by 350% after the silence is over for 10 seconds

    Distorted Energies - 3 second cast - Random with a 15 second CD - H mechanic - Targets 3 - ''Go ahead kill your own friends!''

    - For every attack done for the next 10 seconds, you collect arcane energy within your self, at the end of the duration you unleash x arcane bolts around you inflicting 31,614 to 41,699 arcane damage towards around you
    H 55,999 to 77,195
    * set script to spawn as many as 10 arcane bolts at the person

    I think you mean Ditto.

    I think its a cool idea just that what happens if it copies a healer. Does it just heal itself to full health then you have to start over again? But other than that its seems cool.

    Oh and @ Resentful, I like your idea too

    Your idea is definitely unique but it would be extremely difficult to create let alone clear every week on heroic. It would almost have no strategy to it. Granted that can be a good or bad thing

    It just seems difficult to complete and create. unique idea but...to much

    Okay, let's say he chooses a shaman for example. He would get some of the shaman's abilities.
    Summon elementals: OT would have to pick them up and DPS kill them before they eat the raids' face
    Healing Wave: Heals boss for X amount. MUST BE INTERRUPTED.
    Totem mechanics etc.

    Suggestion as well, have it copy specs. Cause if I'm fighting a prot pally with holy pally talents...yeah...

    Right, which is why it's not something I'd expect to appear on Live. It's just for fun to see how creative people can be with mechanics regarding the boss mentioned above.

    I wouldn't like that. The fun factor of the fight is to see your character being x20 bigger being the boss. That'd be epic.

    Yup, mixed with the last boss in Old Kingdom. Except you fight one instead of 5.

    Another suggestion.

    Normal mode picks 1 person in 10m, 25m picks 3 members. This could be random of any class/spec/role

    Heroic mode picks 2 people in 10m, and in 25m picks 5 members. This again could be any class/spec/role

    Just thought it might be a neat idea to add

    I was thinking he would transform atleast 3 times in the fight to add more variety.

    I like the idea, but you lost me on the Pokemon reference. I never watched Pokemon. I hated that show.

    i would like to see some more dynamic fights but the problem is is that its a fine line between making a fight dynamic and making it gimmicky. i think if we want to see more dynamic fights wed have to change the games mechanics to a degree or start from scratch. like making it so a fight requires you to do some platforming to avoid an attack instead of just LOSing/moving from it. idk but a boss fight comparable to god of war but with 10-25 other people would be balls to the walls awesome. thats just me though.

    Computer controlled players. Sounds a lot like the Faction Champions back in ToC.
