You spin in circles and auto-attack each other... It's all about who has the best gear, which again- directly links to economy

Just check killboards to see how more expensive ships are destroyed by cheaper ones. Because those pilots pick and fit their ship with a strategy in mind, train accordingly and fight wisely. Combat in Eve is about pre-planning besides execution.
You even fail to see the depth of combat mechanics, let alone what Eve has to offer beyond combat.

Unlike the majority of the games you are offered, Eve is much more than shooting stuff, using spells & special moves and playing scripted events like quests, dungeons and even battlegrounds. If you fail to see that depth, don't blame the game.
