The answer you are looking for is 5, are you in 3rd grade?

it's 5. 2^2 = 4 so 9-4= 5 if i'm reading it correctly.
How in the world is it 13? I am asking because you really had to have done some creative thinking to get 13.
9-n^2 where n=2
9-2^2 = 9 - 4 = 5
How do you get 13?
Order of Operations:
Paranthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction.
You're better off learning how to do it rather than asking for an answer.

5 (9-2^2) (9-4)
Honestly as a kid who hasn't made an error in math due to misreading.
Why would you come to a mmo based forum for the answers to your math homework? You really should be sitting down with your parents and have them try and help you.
some examples to clarify your thoughts
2^2 = 4 --> 2 * 2
-2^2 = -4 --> -2 * 2
(-2)^2 = 4 --> -2 * -2
I have to say its really disappointing how people are dissing you. It's a good step to ask for help instead of failing. same thing in wow just to mention it

The real standard order is:
1. Parenthesis
2. Exponents(this includes Roots, because a Root is just a different kind of Exponent)
3. Multiplication and Division
4. Addition and Subtraction
There isn't an agreed upon method of M/D about which comes first, just that it's proper to do one or the other before A/S.
I thought it M/D were equal priority (same with addition and subtraction) but you read it left to right?
Like, 4 * 4 / 4 = 4 and 4 / 4 * 4 / 4 = 1 because reading it left to right they become (4 * 4) / 4 and ((4 / 4) * 4) / 4 due to left to right.
But yeah, it's not 9 + ((-n)^2) it's 9 + (-(n^2)). Any time there aren't parenthesis specifically around a number and a sign the sign is always on the outside, if that makes sense.

Multiplication/Division as well as Addition/Subtraction are associative to each other, thus their precedence does not matter (that's why Badpaladin above me is right).
Basically division is just the multiplication of a fraction and subtraction just the addition of negative numbers. That why the ordering in BEDMAS is a bit arbitrary.
I learned in school dots before lines (we write division with ":" in Germany) so * and : before + and -;
Whether you evaluate from left to right or not does not matter btw, unfortunately only if you rewrite subtraction as an addition of a negative number (otherwise Wikipedia disagrees )
