Mines down to my hips now. It's uncommon because it's very heavy and can be hot (heat)- especially in the summer months. My long hair gives me a lot of headaches because of how heavy it is. It's also a huge pain in the ass to tie up because the heaviness of it pulls it down.

Maybe people with thin hair can pull it off easier, but people with thick hair (like me) have a hard time keeping it long lengths.

I got mine chopped last year, from waist length to just above my shoulders. Suddenly, I was getting fewer headaches. People don't realise just how damn heavy long and thick hair is. It looks really pretty but it's such a pain in the arse to maintain.

Also, talking about heavy, I had dreads for 4 yrs.
It was kinda nice since i didnt have to comb, braid it, condition it or use hairbands for it. I simply tied it into a knot when I didnt want it in my face and it stayd nice all day (I kinda miss it a bit, only need to make sure to not make it dirty and clean it good every few days and very low maintenance.)
