    Slow Loading Screen.

Heya, I got a pretty annoying issue with World of warcraft, My Loading screen is so terrible slow..

I don't have that many Addons it's just 6.50 MB,

    Neither my computer is bad,

    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU 540 @ 3.07Ghz 3.07Ghz.
    Ram: 2,00 GB.

Suggestions how to fix this problem?

I find logging on for the first time ina day or first time after a patch/after a lengthy break of playing is usually slow. After the first of the day, its usually fast
Also logging into crowded areas takes a reaaally long time
Alt-tabbing the game while loading also makes it take longer

by the looks of it, thats "good enough" gaming quality. expect higher load times. especially when you only have 2gb of ram. im at 2.2gb atm myself with just wow running and mmo champ

More info about your build always helps. Also internet connection info... What do you consider slow? How many programs do you have open usually? etc

You can find your graphics card by going to start -> type in "dxdiag" (no quotes ofc) then going to the second tab, first box.

20-30 sec doesn't seem too bad for just using 2 gigs of ram.

Thats fine. I just loaded into a crowded stormwind first load of the day and it took 28 seconds. So 20-30 seems reasonable.

Edit: Logged into bank alt in Ironforge (empty of people typically,) 6 seconds to load. Logged back over to main in SW and it took 6.

Might just be your system. I have 74% of my ram being used right now with Cyberlink PowerDVD, WoW, two chrome tabs and winamp open.

Define "slow". 6.5mb could be any number of addons, do a reboot, then load WoW with ALL addons disabled and tell us how many seconds it takes.
It's most likely your harddisk experiencing slower-than-usual read speeds....if you haven't already, defrag your harddisk and see if things improve.
Also more RAM wouldn't hurt (unless you're running XP or Win7 32-bit) but 2gb shouldn't really make loading times too slow.

Also, It takes like 10 seconds for all the NPC / Chars to appear, Why is that?<

Nothing to do with graphics brah.
That is definitely your harddisk....and to some extent your internet connection, but if you have typical speeds it shouldn't be a problem.
Your disk needs time to retrieve all the textures and load them. And 10 seconds is pretty damn good on a fresh load, in a crowded city I used to take up to 30 seconds to load all the players/NPC's on my harddisk. On my SSD it takes ~2-3 seconds max :P

Eh yeah you're right, forgot about hdd.
Defrag and be sure you have a little space on the disk itself free.

Yeah you may want to invest in a little bit more RAM. Also remember if you're uploading torrents that can affect gaming performance pretty heavily. Be sure to restart every once in a while, and kill any startup processes you don't need at launch using start -> msconfig

Not completely HDD reliant. I used to run WoW on a SSD and NPC/Avatar load-in times were still around 10 seconds or more. I was pretty sure Blizzard added this to WoW to throttle how fast these textures loaded to decrease pure "freeze-ups" on older computer setups.

Your HDD is probably full of crap and/or is dying (how old is ur HDD whats the Cache on it?) Try to do a defragmentation and clean useless stuff.
You may also have a maleware or spywire .. something that eat your bandwidth.

Oh yea and 2gb of memory damn thats very low =| I dont know wuts your OS but atm im only running MSI Afterburner, Chrome +(what Windows needs) and im using 1.5gb , but i dont think thats ur problem, just saying that running WoW + few program may slow you down.

You'd be best off opting to not use Interwebs, MSN while gaming until you get 2GB more RAM, imo, but that's a side-note.
The reason your loadingtimes are slow, is because you have a slow harddrive, where the game has to scan the *.MPQs to load game-data - that is what takes time for you. There's really no solution, unless you want to spend cash.

Also, is your OS (Windows) and WoW on the same physical harddrive (ie, disregarding partitions)? That will slow it down further, likely.
