I find it difficult to locate a straight answer, so I was just wondering how much amperage is needed on 12V rails for cards like,
6850/6870
5770/5870 (the 5770 works in my system, but I'm looking at slow upgrade options at the moment)
560ti/570ti

P = V*I ->
I = P/U
I = 160W / 12V (160W load consumption according to some test I quickly googled)
I = 13,3~ A
Physics doesn't get much easier than that, unless I'm remembering it all wrong =]
Pretty Much. Watts = Volts x Amps. So just Divide the Watts by 12v and there you go.
EVGA Classified SR-2 | Intel Xeon X5680 x 2 | Corsair Dominator DDR3-1600 6 x 2GB | XFX HD5970 x 2

And... finding the TDP of these cards is a pain in my ass. Thanks though, guys.
Says minimum 12V rating of 30amps on my GTX560 box but runs fine despite my PSU being rated for 24 amps, probably because the card needs two 6 pin connectors.
The max TDPs should be somewhere around this:
6850 - 127W.
6870 - 151W.
5770 - 108W.
5870 - 188W.
560 ti - 170W
GTX 570 - 219W.
