Its easily soloable by pretty much any class if you're good at kiting. Hunters with a turtle could do it as long as they're nifty with avoiding the poisons and using fiegn death to make the poison lasers get lost. The boss simply doesn't hit hard.
I two-manned it with a frost mage on my disc priest.

All the difficult mechanics require multiple people (link, breath) to be dangerous. Grats you can stand out of fire and heal trivial tank damage. How long did it take?

Hard is a relative term. If you can solo the whole fight with all classes it would mean more.

Also being able to solo one encounter does not really say anything about 5 player dungeons as a whole.

When the core mechanics of the fight don't work with 1 person, you trivialize the fight. Grats.

a paladin posted a video of him soloing this boss fight a few days ago, and as most people stated this boss fight is actually easier when you dont have other people around, so a big whhooooppppp-ddddeeeeeee-dddoooooooo that you solo'd this guy.

I solo'd the last 30% of him when my group died and it was a joke.

There was no Toxic Link cast. Protection Paladin, btw (SoI/WoG glyphed as said above).

I've also soloed Zanzil, and Jin'do on the PTR. Hell I nearly soloed Zanzil on my SPriest.

ive done it on my dk as well.....was gonna post something and boast about it, but did a quick search and found i wasn't the first one to do or even come close to being the first one.....so i didn't post

I can read just fine, just now reads like "I'm the troll patting the OP troll's back".

But if you want me to elaborate then sure, the meaning of my first reply can be rewritten as:

- Doing this boss with actually 5 people is harder than doing it solo as a Blood DK, mainly because the mechanics that present a higher difficulty degree are not present while soloing.

This, basically to answer to the sarcasm attempt exposed by the OP initially, with some sarcasm in my behalf too (perhaps this is what got you confused?).

gotta agree with this, i've even had blood DK tanks state if we wipe, they'll solo it.
We wipe, and the tank solo's it.

it is soloable for certain classes, however it is still quite hard for a healer.

Last time i ended up sole survivor with my rogue the toxic link ate me because it was on me and there was no way to get it off :/

Cloak of Shadows is also useless :<
