So pissed that I may never get to read this story in Martin's words. So many things expected have come to pass but I have to watch it all unfold in this somewhat *shoddy version provided by HBO.

I'm sure Martin will finish it eventually. If not his full notes and manuscripts will likely either be made public somehow, or left in the care of someone he chooses to complete his work.

Of course, I think assuming that the general broad strokes of the show are the same it's pretty easy to extrapolate how many of the key plot points will play out in the book, now.

I didn't expect myself to gag when we got Jon banging Danny while Bran was narrating...but I did..

Liked the episode but I don't know, something was off for me. Probably because I was getting board of them sitting in that damn arena talking. Gotta change up the scenery a bit.

Thought it was dumb that everyone got made at Jon without anyone advising him before hand. Props to the writers keeping Jon true to his character though, and Kit's acting. Jon hates politics and loves being a ranger, you can see him thinking of taking his ticket to GTFO of the game of thrones only have to worry about fighting.

Felt like Tyrion and Cersei's meeting fell flat. Like they were almost there but then dropped the ball.

Theon's redemption!!! That was good. Pretty good are from someone who went from being a piece of shit, to a walking floor mat, to present Theon.

Winterfell arc - It would've been better with the old format where you could see Littlefinger slowly turning (trying) to turn the sisters against on another but what we got was satisfactory. Except some of the charges Sansa read off...they should've just left half of them out since they were never shown or hinted at...Arya's execution was dope.

Lich KingNight King's attack on the wall wrapped everything up nicely though.

8/10. The last season should be good as long as they can manage the pressure. They've shown that they could pump out a story in a limited amount time with less time to tell it, all the need to do is wrap it all up.


Danny is going to become the new Lich Night Queen after everyone assumes it will be Jon and he finds out he bagged his aunt/tries to escape nobility. Jon will be forced to take the Iron Throne with Sansa ruling the North for him.

Cersei has to die at the hands of a "brother" to bring the volanqar thing full circle.

I think Jaime will survive, Cersei will give birth but have a stroke of madness. Jaime will end up raising his kid alone, thankfully.

Warcraft III and its expansion definitely took a lot of inspiration from the original novels. The blue-eyed undead and green fire are without a doubt inspired by the wights and wildfire. The title of the campaign chapter with the battle between Arthas and Illidan is even called "A Symphony of Frost and Flame," an obvious play on A Song of Ice and Fire.

That said, I'd also be shocked if the production for the show didn't look at the Wrath cinematic for inspiration. Especially the VFX studio. Gathering reference material is a huge part of that job.

That's what I think as well. There's no way in hell that the studio went ''we want a zombie army lorded over by an evil, frost-themed dude who rides an undead dragon'' and nobody in the CGI production crew went ''well where have I heard that before?''. Tons of geeks work in these places.

According to leaks, we were supposed to have a scene with Varys and the little birds, aswell as Cersei having a miscarriage. Did I miss those or did they not happen?

Neither of those happened, but she may be in pain that were not seeing. She does kind of touch her stomach during this episode, which I thought was when she was going to have the miscarriage. Maybe she has it right before one of her brothers kill her. Bleeding out, and then one strangles her to death. I could see that happening.

Unless something has changed in the last couple years, Martin has stated if he passes away before the books are completed he does not want someone else to complete them.
