Focus management

There are a lot of macros with using focus. However, I am not clear how people are setting their focus.
Is it just target any player at the Arena start and type /focus at console? Or there are some other techniques or even addons for focus management?

you could type /focus but i use gladius to set my focus. on default all you have to do is right click the enemy frame. focus is reset when someone stealths however so make sure you always have the right focus set or even have a focus set at all.

first, there is an entry for "focus" in the key bindings options. you can target a player, press the keybind, and the targeted player will be your focus.
second, you could also make a macro "/focus" and put it on your bars.
third, you can setup your gladius so that if you, for example, right click on a player bar, the player will become your focus.

edit: discoghost is right about stealth and focus. you will also lose focus if a mage goes invisible or uses mirror images
