every season has a few episodes that arent very funny. i thought a few of the Cthulhu episodes last season were completely unfunny. Maybe Trey parker and Matt Stone didn't write these past few episodes. ill check the credits when i watch it, it's on my DVR

all long-lasting series have several eposides that makes no sense at all...look at simpsons...

Ya i was fairly dissapointed as well, but a show as good as south park can only use so many ideas before it starts getting desperate cough cough futurama.

    Hope next weeks doesnt suck.

I thought the new season of Futurama was still better than the newer seasons of south park IMO

    Ah shit I missed it!

I think all of this season's episodes thus far have been pretty ridiculous (even for South Park), and I'm one of their biggest (self-proclaimed) fans.

Humor is so subjective, I laughed my ass off. He ripped her fucking arm off..as is tradition.

I thought it was pretty funny, It wasn't one of the best, but still, it was pretty funny. Seemed a bit odd to see mr maki go nuts like that, but it was still funny to me.

Every show that has ran so long has some shit episodes, but I'm such a fan of matt and trey I will watch damn near anything they do. What I really like about them, is the way they will bash the hell out of anything.

Lost interest in SP a while ago.

Sure, a show with 15 seasons is bound to have a few bad episodes here and there, but it is very uncharacteristic of SP to have three bad episodes in a row; and while humor is subjective, I think it is a general consensus (at least amongst those I've talked to) that so far this season has been lackluster. Especially when you compare it to last season, which had some of the best episodes in SP history (imo) like Poor and Stupid.

Damn,I honestly laughed my ass off at the ending where he rips her hand off and shoves it up his ass.
But yeah overall it wasn't really funny(except for the ending).
But I really liked the guest stars Ugly Bob and Scott the Giant Dick,as well as the Queef Sisters.
    So overall 6.8/10.
    Could have been better.

Was a pretty bad episode yeah...

Not sure why they put so much emphasis on Canada when the Royal Wedding was in the UK. Didn't make much sense.

I'm really going off South Park at the moment. The fact they these episodes are following current news stories, Bin Ladens Death, New Ipad and the Royal Wedding, really shows the amount of time it takes to do an episode. 5 minutes.

It's just a blatant cash cow.

I liked it. But last season was the best ever, so "need to do a massive turn around" is pretty wrong imo.

It was a hell of a lot better than last weeks episode about the comedy robot, but that isn't saying much.

Southpark is slipping more and more with each season, with only a few gems in each one.

South Park has ALWAYS been hit and miss. It's one of the best shows on TV, maybe ever when you look at its best episodes. But even those shows have episodes that miss.

To me it had all the ingredients of a great South Park episode but it fell flat for reasons I can't explain.

It satirized nonsensical tradition (Monarchy - although maybe part of why it missed is because it didn't mock people who watch that nonsense and take it seriously) and it had a cutesy but off-the-wall B-plot and it linked them together unexpectedly. That could describe some of their best off-the-wall episodes and yet this one feel flat. It happens.

@Goodnewseveryone: The Royal Family of England are the Royal family of the Commonwealth too (including Canada) and Canadians are the strange weird foreign guys in South Park so it makes sense they picked them. As for making episodes in 5 minutes, some of their best episodes have included last minute changes and were made very quickly, they've never made any secret of how they put them together.

BTW If you miss a South park episode watch it on their official site. ALL their episodes are viewable legally online except for during a small window one or two weeks after they air. You can watch it right away at www.southparkstudios.com or you can watch it again after a 2 week break or so. You could watch the whole series online legally, no need to go to other sites.

I think they mainly do it because they can. Most animated shows take several months from conception to air. South Park can come up with an idea and have it aired the next week.

As for me, I didn't like the first couple seasons, then it got really good. Lately it just hasn't been funny. the last ones I saw were the Cthulu ones. I enjoyed the fact they brought to surface Kenny's inability to die, but other than that the episodes just weren't that funny. I don't think it's because it gets too political, I just think it's lost its touch.

I liked the Mr. Mackey sub-plot, but that was it for this week.

Are you kidding me? Of all the Canada related episodes SP has ever done this one was without a doubt the best.

I liked the episode a lot. Not sure why, the announcer for the wedding made me crack up
