Modern Warfare 3 . Will it live up to Black Ops Expectations?

I just came from gamestop with my limited edition MW3 poster. A lot of people, including myself were disappointed with Black Ops over-all fun-ness level and were expecting much more from it seeing as how well MW2, do you guys believe MW3 will live up to the expectations of MW2+Black Ops, and be anything extraordinary like everyone is hoping or will it flop like BO did?

for me MW2 > BO. so hopefully MW3 will be more like MW2.

Don't think it will. It has the Modern Warfare name, but not the same Team working on it.

Just created a poll for it.

The poster is epic looking btw.

If MW3's goal is to exceed black ops... it doesn't have far to go.

I think you can only have so many iterations of the same game in such a short space of time before it becomes boring. The campaign may be interesting but what can they really do to the online stuff?

Call of Duty died in my eyes after CoD4 was released and it became the Madden of FPS.

i have high hopes for mw3 i didnt care for bo

Nope. Modern warfare as a series degraded every game.

If you made a poll about cod4 being better than mw2 you will most likely turn up cod4 is better.
    No. Just no.

    Agreed.

But after the big lawsuit with the two 'heads' of Infinity Ward....the last news I heard was that IW was pretty much dead.
And if they let Treyarch design this one as well, I'm not going to waste $60 on it despite how much I love the CoD franchise and all their stories.

Add CTF and all sorts of things like Halo does to keep it interesting. Modding little perks and weapons isn't as interesting over a long period of time as playing different modes. Zombies was a good idea to bring back.

for me the big question is not "will it be better than Black ops (which most people would agree wasn't a great CoD game)

The real question is, will it beat/do ok/suck vs Battlefield 3, thats the big one. I personaly think the FPS domain will swap to Battlefield, but you never know.

for me the MW series has been the best out of COD so hopefully MW3 will be way better than black ops which wasn't even a good game

I hope nope. Well, i wish that game fail. So, they will make a pause between the other release. That way , it would be a REAL new game with REAL new stuff. Because seriously...

    Yeah i mean seriously....

Yeah, they could pull a Blizzard and re-release old content with better gfx and make tons of money.

Mw2> BO so yes MW3 should be much much better than black ops since well it sucks

I love zombies, but Treyarch even managed to butcher that in so many ways...but the thing i hate the most is how after every round you have to sit thru the intro to the entire game and finally halfway thru you can skip, but then gotta go thru the menus and all whatnot just to get into another match.
And if the lobby closes before the match begins its the same BS.
Terrible designers or just slackers are to blame there.

Not sure why anyone says BO flopped, when it sold more copies than MW2.

From what I was looking into on the companies working on MW3. Infinity Ward was fully "reconstructed" and will be working on MW franchise with Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software. Personally I can't wait to see a lot more about it before it's launch. I loved MW2 and BO just kinda... eehhh. So I guess we'll see.

Yea...Wrath sold a lot of copies of WoW as well....doesn't mean it was better than BC or Vanilla.

    Logic ftw.
