You mean a boss with almost no mechanics other than a tank switch and keeping people above a certain health amount at all times? I doubt they'd do that twice in as many tiers.

Lol, how about al'akir? If the tank jumps down its a wipe, if a healer jumps down bad stuff can happen, so the tank has too navigate through the windblast/windburst/squall line things, w/o chaining the lightning fields, and he can not jump down.
A dps can jump down and scratch his ass in the meantime. On Maloriak, healer/dps pretty much do the same thing, except healers has too spam big heals on the maintank in black phase and time it between breath, and tanks has to place the fire in last phase properly, and it is quite fast on heroic. Cba going through more examples, but dps generally got the same thing to do as a healer, except keeping the tanks/raid up..
I hate it doing this fight as a dps, but loved it as a healer.
I don't really mind them adding some sort of Chimaeron clone (fight is hella easy) but what I do hope for is that they are done designing fights in shitty, enclosed spaces that leave no room for error.
Chimaeron is a unique and fun encounter for those tanking and healing it, bit boring for dps, though. But hey, the dps is getting loads of stuff to do on Firelands bosses. Flying around on Alysrazor, doing the crystals on Baleroc, steering Lord Rhyolith into the right direction, etc etc.
I'd rather have some awesome bosses as a boring encounter for a particular role, as opposed to mediocre bosses where every class gets to see only a little bit of action.
chimeraon is a TERRIBLE fight
for a dps it's just "stand there and pew pew, stack when needed"
for a tank it's just "stand there, taunt when needed and use some cd"
the only "hard" part is for the healers, and on hard mode just one of them messing up once (a hot ticking 0.5 sec later than expected) means someone dies a horrible horrible death
You did never heal that fight, did you?
I HATE that fight... it's so damn one-sided. As a tank (wich I mainly am) it's boring as hell... in P1, you stand, faceroll and taunt. in P2, you die. And the worst thing: there is hardly anything to contribute to the success as DPS or Tank. you just have to hope that no healer does make a mistake since a slight misklick can cost you the fight.

it also imbalanced the healers as it made mastery eiher very good or 99% useless, ie shamies + and pallies - .
they should 'fix' the debuf to take into account "current hp + absorbes" when workin out the 10k requirement as that would make the mastery at least never useless and give disipline an alternative and make their pws something more than just used for mana regen in p1 of that fight.
