It depends really on how it pictates the characters to be honest i.e are they represented as children in the porn or as adults (E.G simpsons lisa as she is now or a adult) if child even though animated is totally disgusting and shouldn't be 20 years nothing a few feet of rope can't sort out.

Where did the local service shop get permission to sift through that person's hard drive is beyond me. Even if I was facing criminal charges for having child porn on my computer, I'd still sue the shit out of the company where the PC was serviced at.

Safety regulations about security of people's data is paramount in any bussiness I know of. Someone HAD to have an interest into the customers hard drive to find anything at all, it's not like you need to check persons movies in-depth in all possible folders to fix something, now do you?

The problem with this kind of laws is where to draw the line in punishment. Should child pornagraphers get just community service? or 20 years? no one really knows. Laws are not proactive. i can tell you that there has never been a case like this before. thats why prosecutors don't know how much to jail time to ask? since, its similar to child pornography, this guy will get 20 years (which is the punishment for real children pornography).
