While this guy is certainly into some...interesting things, any sort of prison sentence is an absurd punishment for such an insignificant offense. They're cartoons for god's sake.
And if they're going to give him jail time for this they may as well arrest half the internet while they're at it.

Ahhh America.
A Land where real criminals can get off with a slap on the wrist or even sue their victims for "damages" with the right lawyer, while someone who watches freaky cartoons will likely get life in prison since being innocent he's an easy target for the prosecutor.
Not that other Western countries are much better. The legal systems these days seem to benefit the criminals more then their victims.

This makes me really upset.
I personally know someone who raped an actual person multiple times and did not get jail time due to insufficient evidence, yet THIS goes to court?! What. The. Fuck.
I hate our judicial system some days.

That's just bs and they know it.
The guy likes to watch the characters from his favorite shows doing some nasty stuff, it has nothing to do with the age of the characters.
There's even a whole (legal) genre of porn dedicated to girls over 18 that pretends to be under aged school girls doing it with their teacher (just an example, and a mild one at that).
20 years for 10gb of hentai is ridiculous.

This poor bastard faps to a picture of Misty in the privacy of his own home and is facing up to life in prison, but murderers and rapists get off with 5-10 years (or even less) on a daily basis. Glad to see our justice system is completely and solely based on logic.

I think the guy needs psychiatric help either way cause it's weird. The laws are there to protect children from being abused and it could be argued that he is a threat to children because of what his sexual preferences are. i'm not sure i would agree that a custodial sentence is the correct option here when it is obviously a mental problem that he has.
