    Opinions on my new build

    Herro! I am finally buying a new computer, so i decided to build my own since everyone says so it's so ez mode and I wanted your opinions on my build. My budget is $2000. Here is what I am planning to order so far:

    CPU: i5 2500k $225
    Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z68X-UD4-B3 Intel Z68 Express $190
    GPU: 2 CF MSI ATI Radeon HD6950 2 GB DDR5 2DVI/HDMI/2x Mini DisplayPort PCI-Express Video Card R6950 TWIN FROZR II/OC $580
    PSU: Corsair Enthusiast Series 850-Watt 80 Plus Bronze Certified Power Supply 850TX v2 $135
    RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz $94
    SSD: Intel 320 Series 120 GB SATA 3.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid-State Drive $220
    HDD: Samsung 1 TB Spinpoint 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.5 inch $60
    Case: NZXT Crafted Series ATX Full Tower Steel Chassis $140
    CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler $30

    I want to be able to max out all settings on current and near future games. Any and all suggestions are welcome .

    I'd stick with 1 card and then down the road if your video card is lacking, pick up another.

    That's my suggestion with room for OS and a monitor

    Can't say it better than the above, unless you want to bump up the graphics card to a 570/580/590 but it's really overkill.

    Then of course you need the OS which is what, $100 for the OEM, and a 1080p monitor in the $150-200 range.

    Scrap the 6950 crossfire, buy a single GTX580 and save yourself headaches. I mean really, if you're wanting to max-out games in the future then starting off with crossfire/SLI is not the answer. You run the risk of running into stability/driver/flickering/microstuttering/crashing issues, just grab the single best card you can afford. So many newly-released games have jack-all support for multi GPU setups it's not even funny.

    If you do go with a 580 grab a 900-1000w PSU if you really want to SLI in the future, otherwise a 700-800w will do.
