Second opinions on next "Parts Wave"

I'm looking at a budget of roughly $550-$575 dollars. I went a bit over it, but I rather like this build.
Just thought I'd ask for a community eye to take a look at this real quick and see if they can spot anything where I can cut back on.
    (Inb4 Ass-Rock comments.)

Also, I'd like to explain that there are some e-peen reasons behind this.
I chose the H70 as to not mar the beauty of the motherboard. (Noctua NH-D14 is an eyesore...) Not that I spend all day staring at the inside of the case, but I'm a bit ornery about how things look.
I chose the Fatal1ty P67 from AsRock because I really stand behind AsRock's products and they're very easy on the budget. It's nice to see a performance motherboard for a cheaper price.
As far as the power supply, the one that I have on my current system is sort of kicking the can. It's having issues powering my 450. /facedesk
    AAAAAND obviously the 2500k.

Not bad, not much you can really cut back on if you want those parts (P67 + 2500k = win). Maybe see if you can get a cheaper case, but that's about it.

Thought about going with the 912, but unpainted interiors piss me off. :S
(I just realized I'm exactly what I hate most in people... /facepalm)

Changed case to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119240 for aesthetic purposes. (Since they're roughly the same otherwise.)

If you really want to push low budgets you should consider going for the non-K series i5. It's a pain not being able to overclock it much but it does save money while leaving you a decent CPU.

Am I the only one who thinks that case looks rather... horrible? :S

The i5 2500 is just like my current processor without the ability to overclock. While I'm at it I might as well grab the cheapest motherboard, and get a crappy power supply. (There's no excuse for not getting the i5 2500k. NONE.)

Also, I think it looks fantastic. :<

Cases are always subjective... what looks good to one person looks terrible to the next person

You could always get a "500W" Power supply for $17
(seriously though, who the hell would trust their computer to something like that)

    I lol'd.
It doesn't even have PCI-E connectors. I don't see why they bother putting out terrible power supplies. No one in their right mind would buy those pieces of shit.

I'd always get the K series, no doubt. But if I were assembling a rig for a friend, I'd probably go for a cheaper non-K version since they won't know how to overclock it.

    This is for me. (:
I know how to overclock, and I've done so on countless computers.
(Whether they be friends, family, co-workers, or my other computer.)
Just realized I came off as a complete ass.
Yeah, I know how to overclock, so the K is very important to me. Sorry if you took any of the posts the wrong way. :S

Uh, 17$ for a PSU? Think I'd rather lick on a battery and hold the wires in my hand.

Nah I've seen your other threads (even posted in them), just assumed the build was for someone else.

    Hence the ""

Seriously though, if it was me, and I HAD to stick to your budget, I'd look at getting a cheaper CPU cooler, like the Hyper 212 Plus, but I know you said you want the H70 for aesthetic reasons. (you could always wait a bit and save up the $50 difference between your budget and the list of parts you have if you have to)

It's not my money I'm spending. (Also not illegal, don't worry. My Sata port went out on my motherboard, and I get a feeling they're not going to take the motherboard back a few months after the recall.)
So, with that in mind, I'd love to not have to spend any of my money on this thing.
The H70 is vastly better than the H60/H50, correct? (Dumb question.)
    REVISED STATEMENT:
Are there any other solid Closed-Loop CPU Coolers on the market that aren't $100?
    I know Antec makes some.

    That doesn't seem awful.
Rates about 5C under the Noctua NH-D14.

Antec's equivalent is more expensive than the H70.

Could go with stock cooling for a week or two untill you can afford a proper CPU cooler? I'd rather go with a very low overclock for 2-3 weeks than being stuck with a mediocre CPU cooler for a long time or waste the money by just replacing it very soon.

That isn't a mediocre cooler, per say. It's high end air.

Looks good to me. It's about the same as what I've got put together and will be ordering soon. The case would be my only gripe, but as you said they're subjective. It's not the worst case I've ever seen though that's for damn sure! Oh, and the Asrock motherboard... they have been getting better reviews than the Asus boards from MOST stuff I've read recently. So I see no reason for anyone to knock the board you chose.

The Fatal1ty board is like a Maximus but without all the shit I wont use.
Also, I don't know why, but I love that case. Heh.

Should post on how your liking the board after you get it in and everything running good Fuzzy. Since I can't decide between that board and a couple others haha

    I plan on it.
I'm practicing self restraint and waiting until Bulldozer. I want the parts so damn bad... D:
However, that's the cheapest enthusiast board. Cheapest doesn't necessarily mean worst. In fact, I'd take that board over some of the top end MSI ones. (Since they're virtually the same except aesthetically.)

Ya, I'm also TRYING to wait for bulldozer. And ya there are a few boards within like 5 to 10 bucks and all seem pretty nice. And, it's a nice looking board imo. There are some god awful ugly expensive boards. We will see though, I agree I want new parts and shit real bad haha! Waiting sucks.
