Hate is such a strong word, I dislike his music very much and therefore 'hate' him as an artist but don't hate him as a person although his attitude does annoy me sometimes.

If the question was about Rebecca Black this answer would be completely different.

TL;DR: Don't dislike the guy, wish he would stop singing though.

I am more curious why he was picked over so many others. Some one has to have the job of keeping all the little girls swooning. There always has been someone filling that position. To be honest I have never heard a single song by him. I'm sure I wouldnt like any. But TBH I would trade places with him in a heartbeat..and so would most of You.

He's a terrible singer, sure, but with both that bottle video everyone's seen and the one time he was sick or whatever during a concert and went backstage to throw up inbetween songs, I'd say he's pretty professional. The assholes from Metallica, Megadeth, Guns N Roses, etc would've gone all drama queen and ragequit the stage.

Having never met a single Bieber fan in my life while at the same time being pelted every single day with supposedly mature people raging about him, I can definitely tell you which side I dislike the most.

I'm also jealous that he has so much going for him at the age of 17. He'll never have to worry about getting a job, making car payments, or paying off a student loan.

I think that most people out there are jealous of people who make it big whether they know it or not.

Meh, not worth an opinion really, he's a terrible musician imo, but his target market obsess over him, so grats to him for exploiting dumb teenage girls. What is ironic is that it is the haters who have increased his media attention and kept him in the limelight long after he should have faded away. How a 14 year old (I have no idea how old he is) with a year in the industry got his own self-titled movie confuses me though, really...?

The haters are either jealous people, or people who jump on the bandwagon because they think hating him is cool, even though they don't know why.
