Difference between DL and SB filler?

As the title suggests is there any difference(DPS)if any at all between a Drain Life filler spec or a Shadowbolt filler spec? Just wanted to know as im looking to start playing affliction once again.

Shadow bolt spec is the top spec and it probably was on 2 target fights even before the DL nerf since you can keep Shadow Mastery up on both targets w/ shadow bolt spam.

However, as with everything if you prefer DL go for it. It's not like it sims at the bottom of dps and you ease a lot of the raid healing requirement w/ it (especially in 10 man). It's a game play what you love.

who says its not viable?

maybe it isn't for hc raids. but i'm sure its viable for your avrage normal raid or hc.

Ive been dominating the meters with SB spec since we started raiding. There are only a few fights (Chim) where SB/Affliction spec doesn't hold up as well against others.

Even with SB spec you can use DL on occations where healers are struggling like Chim feud, and Nef Pillar phases, and it doesnt have too much negative impact on your damage.
