Trion themselves marketed Rift as a WoW killer, Remember the "We are not in Azeroth Anymore" ads?

"We are not in Kansas anymore" rings a bell? Basicly what it means, yes it might look a lot like WoW and have the same features but it is a different thing. They were not declaring war to WoW but just saying it is different because a lot of people compared it to WoW (And that is logic because WoW is #1 on the market for mmorpgs).

Man, the gameplay videos on YouTube made it look like it had so much promise. The raid instances in particular looked pretty fun. I used to hear a lot about PvP exploits though. I may even just pick up a copy to tool around with over the summer.
