ABOUT US

Virtue is a raiding guild that originally formed during the Burning Crusade. The “core” of Virtue is comprised of members that have played together since the original World of Warcraft. We are one of the oldest guilds on this server and have been near the top of server progression wise for over four years. We’ve seen guilds fall apart and likewise have overcome our own hardships. This has helped us build a solid foundation of our guild and we have progression to show for that. We have an outstanding player base and seem to gravitate quality players to our community. We don’t raid nearly as many hours as the more premier guilds of Scilla, however, we still progress through content as quickly. Due to the community we promote, we typically only carry 1 or 2 extra players per class. This requires us to demand nearly perfect raid attendance or else the guild suffers no progression. As with most guilds, we want you to have fun but demand your best performance. We hold everyone accountable and for obvious reasons! We’re a bunch of friends that play video games… and occasionally get really nerdy and hold Virtuecon in various areas of the United States!

Raiding Style

In Cataclysm, Virtue will focus on ten man raiding. We believe this will be a more effective way to focus on progression without dedicating your whole life to raid 25s. Virtue runs three ten mans teams that has talent across the board. Even though one raid may not raid as much as another, we believe that progression will be generally close for all three teams. We believe being on anyone of our raid squads and under the <Virtue> tag will let others know that you are a top notch player.

A raid for everyone's availability!

We run three different ten mans that fit specific players' play times. They will either run three or two days a week and are focused on progressing through hard modes as quickly and efficient as possible. Once content is on farm we are entertaining the idea that we will do 25 mans for farming gear. We also have alt raids running constantly. Please contact one of the team leaders for more details on raid times.

Loot

Loot is determined by a loot council. (Each group may have a slightly modified way of determining loot.) It has worked for us since our formation and we have no plans to change it! Loot drama is something we do not tolerate! We do not want people joining just for “the phat lewts”. You are rewarded for your dedication and performance and likewise, all situations (missing raids, afk’ing, consistent mistakes) are taken into account. Aside from that, if there is a piece that you really need, you can always let one of us know and we will try to get you it, especially if we feel you deserve it.

Application Process

Once your application is accepted, you will begin a one month trial process. You will be invited to raids typically 50%-100% of the time. As a trial you are still entitled to loot, assuming your performance meets our standards. You will need to bring your own flasks and potions to EVERY RAID. We DO NOT hand these out to any raider (This is also applied to your performance!). You will also have to pay for your own repairs as only raiders will be able to use guild repairs, when applicable.

Please take this application as serious as if you were applying for a job. We may not be hardcore but still require quality players. Our first impression will make or break your application. As a preemptive warning, for your sake, please be versed in your specific class’ theorycrafting as this is a very prominent statement to us that you at least know what you’re doing. This will also typically alleviate any ridicule from our more… disgruntled members. If you only spend a few minutes on your application, it will only get a few minutes of review in return (which is probably how much time it takes for people coming up with witty ways to call you a retard).
