First of all, did you check that the RAM will fit under the NH-D14? The fins on the RAM look kinda big. If not, see Noctua's site for an entire compatability list.

Secondly, where did your Gold rated PSU from post #5 go? The one you have listed is the Bronze.

    Otherwise, good job, looks great!!

Ah, didn't even see I changed PSU's good call.

I shouldn't have problems with the Noctua it seems.

I'll just get it on Tigerdirect, I guess if it's that much better...

Definitely keeping the 580/i5 and would like an SSD, but not sure which SSD would best fit my needs. I upped my budget a bit and have the Vertex3 120GB in my shopping cart now. Right now... my PC is looking to be around $1900 with taxes+shipping. Are there any changes you would make to drop my price that would be viable?
Umm to save cash you could drop the Vertex 3 to a Vertex 2 90/100gb....the practical performance difference between a Vertex 2 and Vertex 3 is minimal, that extra 200mb/s sequential read is going to do nothing for you because applications aren't that huge. With a Crucial RealSSD C300 or Vertex 2 everything starts up instantly anyway.
You're getting an SSD for the instant response/access times and superfast loads, but after breaking the 200 mb/s sequential mark you're going to notice *very* little difference in application/game-loading (so technically even a Vertex 2 is overkill since it peak 285 mb/s).

I also just noticed you're getting a 1000w PSU and a HAF-X...are you planning to SLI with the 580? I would highly recommend doing some searching to make sure the motherboard can actually FIT another card beside that triple-slot GTX580 DCII. If you're planning to SLI and want to give your 580's enough room to breathe/fit, you could be better off just going with a EVGA Superclocked just because it's smaller and will allow more air to go around both cards (although it's OC potential is lower than an Asus DCII).
If you put the DCII 580 in the top slot, a second card is going to completely smother it's cooling system. If you put the 580 in the bottom slot, it might not give enough room to plug in the USB/Firewire inputs on the mobo. Just check.

In all honesty, my initial intentions were to eventually SLI... but with that card, I don't think I'll need to by the time I'll be buying a new system.

With that being said, I think I'll be dropping down to an 850W PSU as well.

Are you planning on running more than 1 monitor? If not, that 580 will do virtually nothing for you.

    IMO:
When you need it later (few years) pick up another 6970 for cheap and Crossfire them together. If you don't think you'll ever upgrade the GPU, get a superclocked 570 and the seasonic x650 gold PSU and call it good until the next computer or you really need a new GPU and upgrade then.

edit: also I don't think the RAM you selected on the last page will work, the heat spreaders on top will likely hit the nh-d14

Drop the powersupply for Corsair HX750w.
    Replace RAM with G.Skill (2x4GB)

    Voila. I've saved you over 50 dollars, haven't I?

If you can, go to a Micro Center to get your CPU at least, that's where I bought most of my products, but they sell the i5-2500K for about $170-180.

    I'm running two monitors.

I'm actually going with a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus instead of the Noctua as of now.

You actually gonna game on both? If you just have the other for secondary things and don't plan on dual-screen gaming (usually not the case, as then your view is split directly down the middle which is super awkward), the 580 really is a waste. It's intended for high resolutions like 3+ screen installments, not single-screen gaming

Also, is there a better suited CPU Fan/Heatsink? I didn't really look that hard at heatsinks and took the first highly rated 1155 compatible one on newegg.
