I don't have the answer and i am not on the PTR, but i just wanted to say that I can't wait to Spell Lock a Death Knight in his Frost school for 6 sec. Revenge is so sweet

Ok now I'm curious, have anyone tested this on the ptr and seen what if anything happens when you get interrupted while casting hungering cold?

Frost attacks get locked, frost strike, obliterate etc. As far as I know.
I hope it stays like that k.

I suppose it'll also lock out Chain of Ice, Howling Blast and Icy Touch, not Frost Strike or any other melee attack. Kinda fair trade compared to Paladin.

No they don't. I have been silecned many times in PvP and those attacks worked perfectly. Abilities like Horn of Winter doesn't work though. Neither do Warrior shouts when they are silenced.

If you ask me, Hungering Cold with a cast time makes DKs seem more.. Epic.
I mean, we would be the ONLY melee with a casting spell (no, Slam doesn't count as it's not a spell (But Palas have Exorcism... GAAH!))
Anyway... At least, it gives me a sense of epicness, because it feels "right" to be able to cast spells, instead of just instant ones. (Icy Touch / Howling Blast)

@On Topic: I haven't tested it, but I guess it would be like a Paladin's Exorcism (if cast without the proc): Lockout.
But don't take my word for it, though.

Obliterate isnt a frost attack... and plus all you need is AMS+HC and you can cast it....

This might be true. I'm still confident that they'll revert that HC nerf and change it in another way like increasing it's cd.


With that said, the HC nerf is no where near as bad as the DS glyph nerf. I know it was needed, but this nerf will make DKs pretty terrible in 1v1 fights now, and as a dueler, I am sad.
