    Meh new rig.

Right just running it by you guys, buying this after I get back from around Europe and will have a tonne of work on so planned it out now with relation to projected markets.

CPU: i5 2500k. I'll be willing to switch to the equivalent priced AMD CPU, but I doubt they'll match the i5 in gaming.
MoBo: AsRock Z68 Pro 3. Same for the Mobo, but it's a wicked board for cost/performance.
GPU: Asus 560ti DCU II, factory clocked to 900.
PSU: Corsair 500w Memory Builder, plent for the system taking into consideration the max usage of each component.
RAM: Kingston 4GB Hyper X 1600mhz Grey Edition.
Case: The sexy NZXT Phantom, my gal is buying this for me. Imma marry her
Heatsink: Far as I know something from Noctua, a m8 of mine is hooking me up for free, along with my OS.

I consider this a budget build but not wanting to cheap out on anything. So, what ya think? Oh and total cost is 655 Euro.

Good build. You seem satisfied. GPU checks out, AsRock kicks ass, unlocked processor, plenty of power, Kingston makes great RAM, and the NXZT Phantom is a beautiful case. If you can get the Noctua CPU cooler, you might get a good overclock, too.

i'd go with a better PSU. nothing against the builder one, but since you're getting a bunch for free may as well get an 80+ gold. seasonic has nice ones

From everything I have read from the multitudes of new system threads, I cannot say there's a single thing wrong with this build. Excellent choices, especially the case/gpu/cpu - and agreed with Fuzzy on the cooler - from what I hear it is extraordinary as a cooler.

Yeah, knowing him it's probably his beastly Noctua D-14, he recently went back to water-cooling. I wouldn't be planning anything over 4Ghz until I notice a decline in performance, then hit 4.5ghz til I need another new rig.

Looks great. Changing your psu might save you a few cents on your power bill, but 500 Watts is good enough not to kill your components

Maxes at 285, I don't expect the rest to somehow draw 215w:P

I had a 600w, but I've no desire to ever go SLI in the lifespan of this PSU.

Blech, saw the line above, didn't quite grasp the line below until now. Almost thought it was the significant other posting in your place for some reason. Mind is on making fried rice right now, sorry!
