Living embers are down to 15k on my server, what a drop.
For me as a raiders it sucks .Server beeing only with 10 man guilds since the 25 man are falling in to 10 man guilds so gonna wait months since i'me gonna afford the boots from lw still havent seen any living ember in my server ouchh.
Yes, there are indeed some shenanigans going on. After seeing one of the threads mentioning Living Ember sales being suspicious get locked (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2826023894), I decided to do a little check. Here's a seller by the name of Tyralthuug on Moon Guard US:

Now, let's assume you use the logic some of the naysayers stated in the aforementioned thread; it's just some uber-guild doing full clears since 4.2 launch, getting super droprates, saving none for themselves/people just AH hoarding them, etc. 40 Living Embers is a LOT for one unguilded toon to sell, on one server. Especially considering the official drop rate is LOW, according to Blizzard. Let's go with this theory, and say that this uber-guild got multiple clears done on several main and alt runs to get such an amount. WoWProgress shows at least 33 guilds have cleared at least one boss in Firelands on this server, so perhaps it can be argued that this is the case.
Except for one, teensy, tiny problem - Tyralthuug apparently is a very popular level 1 bank alt name, which as of this posting, there were 48 of them:

Now, I know what you're thinking, it's just a name used by the random name generator in WoW, it's possible for 48 level 1's to have the same name. Apparently, it's also a choice name for uberguilds/people just playing the AH to use when selling Living Embers also:

http://theunderminejournal.com/item....gyr&item=69237
http://theunderminejournal.com/item....arg&item=69237
The list goes on and on. Just a coincidence? This is where it gets weirder - there's armies of these level 1's, nearly all of them selling Living Embers:

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/search?q...f=wowcharacter
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/search?q...ealmName&dir=a (There were 53 of this guy, who was selling LEs on two servers I play on when first found, down to 42 now. Every one of these Selgartim toons I checked, has sold LEs recently.)
TL;DR - Something is rotten in Denmark. It is statistically improbable that less than 3 weeks after the launch of 4.2, a major, low-droprate, raid-only item is being sold by the hundreds, by level one toons sharing the same name with no guild tag, on multiple servers. The number of bosses killed, with the RNG of drops, with them being the core component of sought-after 378ilvl gear, strongly shows that item duping is in full swing for this item. I could very well be wrong, yet you have to admit, it looks VERY suspicious.
