Heretic is a long standing guild in World of Warcraft, created in 2007. It moved from Nagrand and has made Al'Akir its new home for better progress and resources. Our main goal in wow is PvE raiding at a competitive level and to always improve our ranking as a guild. We are not a guild that will make you raid 8 hours a day, our ambitions are to replicate professional performance and efficiency when it comes to progressing content. You need to be a player that cares about rankings, competitiveness and such. If you are not a flexible player when it comes to new content and the ability to raid just a little bit more for the sake of progress, then this is not the right guild for you.
Our most recent achievements
• 7/7 Firelands Normal on the second night of 4.2.
• World 40th Glory of the Cataclysm Raider.
• 13/13 T11 Heroic Modes pre 4.2, most notably a world 58th Magmaw kill.
• All T11 Normal Content cleared on the 3rd of January 2011.

Recruitment needs aside, we are always open for exceptional applications from all raid roles. If you think you can prove that you are a better player than any of our current raiders you may be offered a chance to show us.
Important criteria to consider when applying to Heretic
• Ability to raid at over 90% monthly attendance.
• Self improvement.
• Ability to take criticism without a fuss.
•
We use a loot council system to manage how loot is distributed among raid members.
• PvE comes first! If you are the sort that will ditch raids for PvP, do not bother making an application.
• If you are the sort who goes on constant monthly breaks and AFKs, do not bother making an application.
• Whining on wipes is not tolerated. 200 wipes a night and still motivated? This is the right place for you!
• If you are benched, or replaced because a certain encounter demands a certain spec, you should have zero problems with it.
• We raid 4 times a week, 4 hours each raid. On progress, or when new content is released these times or days can be changed - If you are not flexible, don't bother applying.
• Weekend raiding, having a main alt, and the ability to play it as good as your main is a bonus that will help you get accepted in Heretic.
• Having Ventrilo, the ability to understand English and speak it with a working microphone is important (you will be asked to speak in your interview). Knowing when to remain silent, especially during raids, is as important.
• We expect everyone to be social, a bit of banter, luls etc, is all good and encouraged. During raid hours, it only serious game face. Farm raids, of course, are treated as another lolfest.
• Maturity is extremely important. Epeening by linking meters after every trash pull and/or whining about loot is highly frowned upon.
• You are expected to know end game raiding, your character, the proper enchants, gemming and spec knowledge. If you are not a theorycrafter, chances are you wont perform at the level Heretic requires from its raiders.
If you are the type of wow player that cares A LOT about rankings, healthy competition, commitment to WoW, an awesome friendly environment in a guild then this guild might be a perfect fit for your needs. Yes, we really are that awesome.
Schedule
The raid times for our PvE team are Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday from 20.00 - 24.00. Invites start at 19.45. During progression we will occasionally push harder than the schedule however, so being flexible is a big plus.
Additional Information
• We are a very social guild and very active outside of our raid times, there is always someone online.
• We pursue all and every achievement ingame, doesnt matter if its new or old content.
• We have a very structured and organised method of raiding with alts. We encourage alt development and raiding in the guild.
For any questions or concerns before or after applying, poke Kây, Shazzie or Káhth in game. Constantly pestering people in the guild after your application will result in an instant decline. Our application process takes anywhere from 5 days to 2 weeks. You will be called for a ventrilo interview if your application looks promising.
