Angry Flash player "Movie not loaded" on Youtube

I can't watch any videos on youtube since last night. The video is just a blank black box that says when I right click it, "Movie not loaded". Flash works fine on other sites, It's just youtube. I've tried reinstalling flash player, and that didn't work. I have java script enabled. Also turning off ad-blocker and no-script did nothing to help the problem. What's weird is that youtube videos on other sites work. It's only just the videos on the youtube site.

I only found 1 temporary solution to fix this. I have to type https:// instead of http:// every time I go to youtube for the flash player to work again. How do I permanently fix this?

Start by clearing out your cache. Might be a damaged file that gets loaded when visiting youtube proper.

This is going to sound stupid, but have you actually rebooted your computer since this cropped up?

Try it. I've seen weirder things fixed with a simple reboot.

Reboot, if that doesn't work, try different browsers, try IE first & if it doesn't work with IE, go in the tools, internet options, advanced, click the reset button under "reset internet explorer settings" & try again.

Also just in case make sure you have latest version of flash & java, who knows.

Use the html5 on youtube instead, why use flash if you don't have to

Ok, I was forced to upgrade to the worst browser UI (Firefox 5). Now It's working fine.

I have this exact same issue, youtube official site isn't playing any videos. It started a few hours ago. I'm using firefox 5.0. If I modify the address for the video with "https" instead of "http" the videos play normally. What's going on?

    EDIT/UPDATE:

It got fixed magically by itself a few minutes ago. Had the issue for 6 hours, still dunno what happened.
