Illegitimately to the point that it was hotfixed and they were removed from the instance, while the kill has skill merit to it I'd consider this the world first (assuming it is in fact the first kill today).

More like the week's first kill considering Blizzard had to shut down heroic Firelands after STARS ended up using paid services to aquire another reset with clever use of money-leeching mechanics, thus getting the true world first.

I also agree although STARS used nefarious means to get in the instance they deserve the kill. Nothing was changed about the fight that I've heard of since they killed it and they deserve the kill.

Just like I don't think its unfair for some people to have earlier access to the patches in the first place. Someone somewhere is always going to have an advantage and as long as its done using the built in game mechanics and not an "exploit" of those fight mechanics then they deserve the credit.

Bullshit. They exploited Blizz's lack of keeping lockouts on faction change. Stars got it first, they didnt exploit fight mechanics like Paragon did for most of their 4.0 heroic kills.

The only reason Paragon didnt do it is because they didnt think of it. Paragon has exploited more world firsts then anyone else, yet most people seem to think its not a problem

Stars got it legit imo...but opinions may differ.

It is not our place to say it is a legit kill or not. Blizz asked them to leave the raid, though they never got banned or suspended or anything for that matter as a punishment meaning they didn't really do something wrong.

People should stfu about if it was legit or not though, in the end it is what Blizz thinks that matters.

Name one besides atramedes (which all guilds exploited). If you say nefarian ill suggest doing some research about why they used so many druids (hint: it has to do with one of his abilities and the fact druids had the strongest single target dot in the game at that point) and you'll see there wasnt an exploit used during the WF.
