SSD and HDD

My OCZ vertex 3 just arrived today and I'm about to format win 7 on it, I am just wondering how to take everything off of my old hard drive so I can use it as a data drive next to my SSD. I would like to wipe it clean and have all space available as if I purchased it new (assuming I don't need to install Windows on that as well? I've never ran 2 drives before). How would I go about doing this?

Well just install Win 7 on your new SSD, then when you got windows running, just right click your old HD and select format. That would be the easiest way
