    Dodgy Mouse Getting Really Annoying...

Hey, so the last few days I've been having a dodgy mouse. If you don't know what it is let's say I move my mouse over my screen, at one point it will move more then it's supposed to, it will jump a bit and that give me really bad precision.

So how do I fix this? I've tried reinstalling the drivers and my mousepad is clean.

    I use a Razer Deathadder 3500 DPI.

    1) Check the connection,
    - Plug it into a different port and test for differences where possible
    - Test the mouse on a different machine if possible to see if the issue still persists

    2) Clean the mouse,
    - Clean the bottom of the mouse with a microfiber cloth to ensure there is no dirt or grime over the optics

    3) Use a variety of different surfaces to test if the issue still persists
    - Hardwood, Smooth, Matt, Glossy
    - If possible test on a cloth mouse mat

    4) Download fresh drivers from the Razer website
    - Step1 - Unplug mouse
    - Step2 - Uninstall ALL old mouse drivers
    - Step3 - Reboot machine without plugging in the mouse
    - Step4 - Install the mouse drivers + software
    - Step5 - Plug mouse in

    5) If issue still persists Loop twice then return mouse to manufacturer.

those are the problems when i have issues with my mouse, could be something as simple as an eyelash / other tiny bit of hair in front of the laser, or a dirty mousepad even.

    have other mousepads to use?
Still I cry, tears like pouring rain, Innocent is my lurid pain.

I don't really have anything to clean the lazer with, would toilet paper work?

I have a razor mouse not the same (orochi) and I also have a razer keyboard (lycosa), when I use a new driver for my keyboard and mouse everything works fine except the configuration software for the keyboard. However if I use an old driver for my keyboard and the new one for my mouse my keyboard configuration software works but my mouse randomly disconnects and requires me to re-plug it in. This may be somewhat relevant to you, I hope it helps.

Get yourself down to a Lidel or a Netto, or well pretty much any shop... (Tesco, Sainsburys, ASDA/Wal-Mart etc..) and pick up a Microfiber cloth for about £1 or £2
I bought a pack of 5 of them from my local Lidel last week for £2

You can use these for pretty much anything, cleaning components, screens, windows, cars, you name it, you can use it for it. And best of all it very rarely requires any cleaning solution.

I'm trying it out on my other computer now and it seems to go just fine. Seems like there's a problem on my mac..
