    Superheated (Ryolith 10 Heroic)

Hey, weve spent a night on Ryolith heroic, and best try was like 27% when superheated hit, Some video's ive seen theyve been longer than 5 minutes and superheated hasnt hit. and others superheated has hit 10 secs before 5 minutes etc. When does it actually sit? and why is there nothing about superheated in the Dungeon Journal?

if anyone knows anything please let me know, where going back to him tonight and want to be prepared.

From my understanding, Superheated is a buff that Rhyolith gains automatically at 5 minutes into the fight. He gains +10% damage for every stack, and a stack accumulates every 10 seconds after 5 minutes in. Therefore, after a minute, he will be doing +60% damage.

You want to be able to push him into phase 2 before the 5 minute mark, so that Rhyolith begins phase 2 with no stacks of Superheated. Matik wrote in an earlier post:

You're taking too long to get into P2. At a certain point in Phase 1 you need to stop whatever you are doing and focus burning a leg so you can push into P2 before Superheated - less than 5 minutes.

0 Superheated stacks going into the first stomp in P2 is a dead boss.

Begin your burn when Rhyolith has 10-20 armor stacks remaining (do NOT wait for 0 armor stacks, unless you are perfect at killing obsidiums; we couldn't kill them all), and at around 50-60% health (but hopefully lower). Bloodlust at 35-40% health. Any leftover sparks should be tanked. During this time just have all DPS on one leg only to make Rhyolith move in a circle and don't worry about new volcanoes.

Make sure Fragments are tanked on top of bosses legs, so that incoming obsidiums are dying to incidental AoE damage.

The boss is a timing fight, you need to plan your burn accordingly.

I'm pretty sure when we fought him on 10N, he gained two stacks at a time.

is 2 healers viable? where still struggling with 5 dps.

Yes two healers are viable, we did it with Two heals. If you have 2+ active volcanoes up at the same time though it might cause problems (but haven't tried it with the recent hotfix)

@OP, Superheated occurs after 5 minutes. At some point in P1 you need to stop whatever you are doing and burn Rhyolith to P2 with whatever stacks he has. Timing here is critical and it'll take you many attempts to get that perfect burn, because it depends alot on Volcano RNG. If you enter P2 with 0 superheated stacks for the first stomp, you probably win.

    Good luck!

    Bump for ideas.
With how many stacks are you getting in P2?
We've managed to phase change with only 1 stack but the damage is P2 is so massive that the healers(2) can't keep the raid up we have 2-4 people dying at the first stomp, is it supposed to reach P2 with 0 SH stacks?
Are you using BL based on timer or before/after X Spark spawn?

I wasn't present on our guild's kill last week but based on earlier rehearse nights, we would Bloodlust around when the 4th Spark spawned, ignore it completely and just burn the legs.

And yes, you really should need to enter P2 before the 5min marker.

Hi, we killed Lord 10HC twice now. We did him with 2 heals 1 tank.
The "magical" Number is 4:15. Thats the time when the 4th Sparks spwans, which can be offtanked. The next Fragments have to be MDed or whatever you have, with Heroism and if needed personal CDs you should push him into p2 before the 5min mark.
If you enter p2 with Superheated on it will be a wipe i'll promise that

So you're doing it with 1 tank on add and 2 melees or 1 melee and 1 range on legs?

  10. #10
We run 1 tank, 2 healers, 7 dps.

2 melee on legs 100% of the time. 5 ranged on spark + fragments/slimes. After he hits around 50% health the ranged stop killing the slimes and burn the legs instead. We pop hero at about 40% and ignore any adds that are up or any new adds that spawn. Last phase is all about everyone surviving that first stomp.

So no need for tank driver on a Rhyo, ny melee could turn him,i see.
That's probably our fault then, since our dps is high enough to manage 5min transition with 6 dps.
An addition of a 7th dps should solve our problems.

    Thanks.
