Back a long long time ago in a land far far away, known as the official forums before they changed, blizzard announced the idea to use your real ID to post on the forums. Now naturally you can see everyone was outraged. It became an entire week of everyone saying mean things to blizzard, and nothing about the game at all entered anywhere in the forums.
Now during this, all the blues were busy.
The off topic became an interesting place. Two people began threads posting pornography of any kind, and both reached the page limit. However, they only did legal real porn and anime(but that was all that was requested).

It became an interesting place that surprisingly lacked the mass immaturity you may find elsewhere, but most posts were against the rules in some way(like religious, political, spin off threads, pornographic....)
Afterwards, they were known as heroes in offtopic, until the forums were changed, and everyone praised that week of no moderation.

Now there is no more off topic.

Real ID on forums as Skelington mentioned, the conspiracy theory thread too. Just about anything regarding class mechanics on the Damage Dealing forums

Mug'thol Forums, Rage United became the subject of a few good Flames wars (due in large part to my persistence) and the ultimate still lies with that ULTITHREAD on the Death & Taxes guild site with the Chick posting pictures of herself performing fellatio on a former guild member

Brinsley: "Well I'm a paladin, I judge things all the time"
