It's their own private forums... they can do what they want? It's also against the ToS to discuss disciplinary actions on the forums.thats censorship man, fucking unacceptable.

You're risking a ban on yourself and all your friends because someone you've never met before hosted an event that cause a server crash and got banned as a result. You admitted this on the most popular fan site for WoW. You have seen pictures of the server afterwards and you have been told that Blizzard has been disbanding guilds as a result.
Read all that. Now, if you just randomly decided yesterday "Eh, I'm bored with WoW" and you were thinking of a grand way to go out, you can justify doing this. Otherwise, you're just adding to the problem. I'm betting all your friends didn't decide to quit WoW yesterday.
That is the dumbest thing I've read on these forums in a while. You can get paid to do anything in the world if you are good enough, don't be jealous.
OT, we'll see him back soon and the Swifty fanclub will continue to do what they do best. Even if his account was perma-banned he'd be back in a flash.

It's mind boggling that people can be a "fan" of someone playing a video game.
I don't understand the problem. No-one gets away with crashing a whole server, no matter who you call yourself out to be. No-one is above the rules.
May the raging winds destroy my foes, and let its soothing breeze ease the pain of my friends!

NOT BANNING for boting/boting/boting/exploiting, but for making the game more entertained for a lot of people = BAN
awsome.
I went to Stormwind City on a level 1 on Darkspear. Mother of god...

This is just stupid. But before I get into that let me first say I do not condone what is being done currently on servers to protest this decision. All it is doing is punishing the players with no real outcome.
Now on to why your comment is not very mature. First off your trying to assume how many will actually quit, probably near impossible to assume correctly. He has many fans and a number of die hards each with there own personality. And each will make there own decision. I am willing to bet there are maybe 5 people who patrol these forums who are qualified to make any real guess as to how many would actually quit because of this ban so do not try to play expert when your not.
Second thing, is assuming all of these guys making level 1 characters for protests are "12" years old. A lot of people in this thread are making this assumption. Truth is, this is also a false statement. Immature people yes...young?... not necessarily. I have played with 11 year olds that seem more mature then 40 year olds so do not just assume all of these people are young or you will find your self also making an immature decision.
Lastly for anyone who does wish to protest the ban, take it to forums, us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2842886976?page=1 - The thread cap was raised so feel free to post there with your feelings on the subject. As to whether his Ban will actually be removed. I can assure you that will be between Swifty and Blizzard, and not between Swifty, Blizzard and Fans.
