Burn & Conservation phase armor question

What armor should we be using for our burn phase and which one for the conservation phase? My mage is 84 now and I want to get in the practice of being in the right one by practicing my rotation on test dummies. As it goes now, I can stay in Molten Armor unil a boss is dead so it gives me no practice and tha's with spamming AB at 4 stacks.

Mage Armour gives you free mana even while casting, guaranteeing you will get extra casts in and extra mastery benefit
Molten Armour gives you a tiny bit more crit that might increase the damage of a couple of your spells

Mage Armour always unless some mechanic is giving you 100% mana (you can swap during the fire tornadoes before Alysrazor's downed phase for instance)

Mage armour = More arcane blasts + More mastery
    Molten armour = More crit

More arcane blasts + More Mastery > More crit

    mage armour:
Resistance to all magic schools increased by 44and regenerating 3% of maximum mana every 5 sec.
which means in burn phase you get your intellect procs which increase your maximum mana such as Powertorrent/volcanictrinket/ tailoring back enchants/ engineering hand cooldown etc,
with those procs your mana regen will increase which guaranteed more arcane blasts,

So using Mage armour is way much better in burn phase, and the only boss phase that you use molten armor in Alysrazor down phase,

yar as said above you only exception to change to molten armor is alysrazor p3(burn phase) and sinestra p3
other than that ALWAYS mage armor

In 98% of situations, Mage Armor. Forever.

And, of course, Glyph of Mage Armor. In the few situations where Molten Armor would be appropriate, it's not worth it to glyph for it.

any dps you gain from switching armors for burn phase is probably gonna get negated by the global cooldown you just wasted by switching armors.
