I think this is a great addition! I don't know what's your problem with it. )) I'm gonna make some cash so I can buy the next expansion for "Free". Hahahaha. Get over it trolls. I like this.

    Wtf? I'm shocked...

C: Nothing can be bought with real money, because every item is soulbound. Chinese go around this by selling fully leveled & geared accounts.
D: Item trading is happening only between friends, and nobody dares to buy anything online because Chuck Norris said you shouldn't.

If you stop for a second and think about it, A is what's been going on for ages, B is what we're getting, C is what happens in WoW, and D is what people would want to, but unfortunately people aren't scared enough of Chuck Norris.

We don't live in utopia, trading for money cannot be prevented, so it's best for everyone if Blizzard provides a safe place for it.

Just for the record, I don't intend to buy any gold/items with real money. I play the game for the joy of finding new loots. If I bought them, there would be nothing left to do so I'd quit playing. And still I think this new AH system is the best thing ever: I can sell my leftover items and pay my wow subscription with the money, and best of all, I know it screws over the third party farmers and gold sellers that will now get competition from millions of players providing the same goods.
^This guy get it so right! Everybody and his grandmother is getting pissed that Blizzard is going into real money business while gold sellers are all over the place for ages. If I ever want to buy something ingame for real money, I will definitely prefer going the official way rather than using shady 3rd party services.

I wish for once people could think twice before screaming "OH NOES WTF I AM POOR AND WILL NEVER SEE EPIX".. First off, it seems this thread is filled with 90% posters who know nothing about the Diablo games and how the economy (lol) works there at the moment. Try logging into D2, you'll see gold/item spam 24/7. 10 times worse then in WoW. This will be no more.Today people in D2 mainly use d2jsp. It's unsafe, you get scammed and 1 guy is making loads off you guys.I would rather give a cut to Blizzard to see this done in a safe way for the players, then make some random previous bot-writer a millionaire.

    They take a cut.
Also if they just wanted it to be between players then why not limit it to in-game currency. Yeah.

As long as bots are out of the game (utopia?), or good loot-dropping bosses are challenging even for top-geared players (and totally impossible for bots), the implementation sounds good to me.

We'll have to see it to judge objectively.

Read the rest of it, where they say they're grabbing a slice off the sold items. LAWL

Was a matter of time for this happening...
Tbh does not want. If you can use real money for in-game items and get money back etc. It will add advantages to being lets say rich.
I duno if it will be changed so there might be hope, if this affects WoW in anyway it will royaly piss me off. The gold sellers will be justified 0.o
Up to blizz though so meh not like im planning on playing D3 for a long while (new comp while).

Not defending this system is equal to supporting the third party sites selling the same stuff (including leveled chars).
It's a choice between Bad and Worse.

Worst idea ever. I've never played a pay-2-win game and I won't start now.

I hope people realize that Blizzard themselves aren't selling items.

That is all I cared about, and it was suggested by all the idiots here who can't understand words.

If Blizzard wants to charge 3% for a real-world transaction, let them. That's how EVERY OTHER ONLINE TRANSACTION works.

Doesn't affect me in the slightest.

  12. #812
This will affect gameplay sooo badly...

  13. #813
Hmmm interesting feature, i may actually buy this game now.

Matching people's hard work and skill with whoever can pay the most is not a business model a legit game should endorse. Blizzard is cutting their throat with this choice.

I hate the term "rich" Your making it sound like the only people playing will be ones with bank loads of money. We all have bills which take a much higher priority then that one item on the AH. I am still looking forward to the game and will be playing it to enjoy it.

    KK, blizz. Canceled pre-order.

All of those HUGELY successful Korean MMOs would like to have a word with you.

Also, I'm not sure with how you're equating skill with gear, because you could trounce a lot of people in Diablo and Diablo 2 if they were better geared by just knowing what to do.
