    Unfortunately, he survived.

So let's say a 10's team consisting of 9 over-OP classes + a shaman/lock, and this team is the best in the world. Does this make the shaman/lock one of the best classes in the whole?
To a lesser extent, it's the same.
If the topic were about only 3s arenas, then I wouldn't have voted neither shamans nor locks, but this is the worst pvp class in general, as the title suggests.
You could say no class is bad since at least one spec of each class excels at some scenario. And well, my vote was based upon this, that warlocks are in the worst situation as they have the least available scenarios in which they are viable.
Because, let's say it, pvp is about killing other players. Who other than warlocks have it so hard to accomplish this with the literally laughable damage they have? It's the class with the highest number of hard counters, I dare you to prove otherwise.
But yes, it does work well in the 3s bracket with a resto shaman and a bursty class. So, is the warlock a good pvp class? Nope. Is that specific comp good? Yup.

Let me repeat myself for the 3rd time then *sigh*

    1 spec(affli) in 1 bracket(3v3) teamed with 1 specific healer(Rshaman) does not make you a good class .

Ok I am now going to disagree here. Not only is the guy you quote correct but its not just in 3's. Warlocks are a huge asset in R BGs as well. Even though two of their specs may not be great in pvp, that doesn't mean they are bad at pvp. Even if it is only one spec thats viable, they still bring more to the table than a hunter in almost every scenario.

I decided to exclude the RBG/BG for the simple reason that there are waaaay too many factors involved, and between 10-15 players you can't really judge a balance out of it. On the other hand, anyone is viable for bgs, for the reason I just stated.

Just because you decide to exclude something doesn't mean it should be. BGs are pvp plain and simple. The thread was not titled worst arena class.

We don't live in the past. The question is about the worst pvp class at the moment, obviously.
Warlocks as a class pvp-side are absolute garbage, unless if affliction teamed up with a resto shaman in the 3s.
plz give hunters one class to play with that'll put them on top rated teams, I would be happy. this was about the worse pvp class not faults in ur class. you at least have to agree hunters r worse off then locks even tho it sucks u need to roll with a shammy. roling with a feral druid will only get us so far.

Your missing a few things. First off, MOST of pvp is 3v3 arenas, I have heard very little about 5s since cata came out and rbgs are imo a joke. Lock damage is far from laughable, they are a very strong standalone class when used correctly. Problem is 90% of people who play locks dont know how to play correctly.

They are fine in 2v2 as well. Random probably bad example: played games as hpally / lock, awful 2s comp, and went 23-2 at ~2250 mmr. Only lost to OP as hell mage/rogue and priest/mage.

Locks have alot of hardcounters, but so do other of classes. Warriors for one: dks, rogues, mages, hunters, and ferals all should beat warriors every time. Locks can beat warriors plenty too, my 2s partner can beat damn near any warrior he duels and hes only a 2.2k player.
