So last night, Monday the 8th of August my newly created guild having merged to horde decided to go on an ICC 10 man drake run for giggles. We managed to get every single one done and then we hit a brick wall on Lich King.
The achievement requires you to stack Necrotic Plague to 30 before defeating the Lich King.
We stacked it to around 36, hitting exactly 30 on the way, before pushing him into the transition phase to phase 2. Upon killing him we got the Neck-Deep in Vile achievement but not the other one. After having a very very long talk with a GM, this is what the response was:
"This achievement is indeed bugged so it is not always rewarded even though you get the criteria done for it. However since our logs does not provide information towards this we cannot confirm that you actually are eligible for this achievement and can therefore not help you."
Are you freaking kidding me?
Blizzard has all this technology and you're telling me they cannot track whether or not Necrotic Plague stacked to 30?
The GM I was talking to was very polite and expressed concern towards this, but in the very end, he basically gave me the finger and said, sorry, can't help you. Both me and my guild leader was extremely aggravated and disappointed by this kind of attitude. He then told us to not bother until it's fixed and focus on other achievements. He dismissed me in a very annoying manner and I feel it's insulting considering the achievement has been here since 3.3.3 and is still bugged out, even though tons of people has it, yet this GM claimed their records does not hold information around debuffs on a player or mob.
What are your thoughts and have this happened to you?
