    Solo instances would be too difficult to balance. Either way you spin it you'll end up with either worthless rewards/drops or a handful of specs/classes unable to do them.

    I would, however, entertain the idea of having Duo instances like DC Universe. They are much easier to balance in terms of difficulty vs reward, and those things were pretty fun. Not immensely rewarding really (like getting a quick valor run with no remarkable drops), but fun, quick, challenging.

    this will not replace the raids and loot will not be top tier..is something most games have..aion have solo instances, lotro have skirmishes were you can farm them to gain some gear and some vanity items..it will replace the dailies with something more challenging and new*.The people that are not interested in raiding they will not raid by force if this feature is missing...I would rather have solo instances in wow rather than dailies.solo instanced didn't affect social aspect of lotro..instead the social environment in lotro is far more better than wow and it has also tool to find fellowship for group dungeons

    but every MMO have solo aspects..questing, professions, farming..so with your argument we cannot do quests alone also

    This will not work simply because classes are not designed to be equal in solo play. For example, a DK can solo many raids, where a priest would simply get slaughtered. The game is designed for players to work as a team, it must stay that way. If you add a lot of solo dungeons you're going to end up with a high DK population.

    I have read a bunch of stupid posts, and the winner is THIS ONE.. Solo Instancees?? WTF? Then the game looses all point of meaning. Its like making Soccer a one man game..
