Thinking about buying this - Looking for some Input

Basically, I know this will be better than the computer I have at the moment but I just have a few questions.

First, I will tell you my current setup.

    CURRENT:
    Dell XPS 600
2G DDR2 SDRAM (Not sure on the brand, came stock with the computer)
Intel Pentium 4 with HT Technology 3.8ghz
    NVidia 256MB GeForce 6800
1TB Seagate SATA HD (which I recently bought and plan on migrating over to new rig)
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Zs with Dolby 5.1.

I did install a HD Radeon 5670 GFX Card but have not noticed any differences.

As you can see my computer at the moment is struggling to get by in anything. I am honestly surprised my computer is making it through Firelands.

I would like to run WoW on ultra settings as I feel I have not seen Azeroth fully! . I am a 10man raiding guild and working on Rag right now. We have not gotten too far so I am scared to see how my computer reacts when the fight gets crazy!

So, my questions is should I update mine somehow.. or should I purchase this..

Basically, I have Windows 64Bit so that is not a problem. My main concerns are The PSU from tigerdirect rig and is the Radeon 5670 card compatible with the tigerdirect rig or should I invest in a new one?

EDIT: My intention has been to spend between 500-600 dollars on a new rig. Not much but as a college student money is pretty limited for the time being. From the looks of it, this system is up-gradable and can last me for a bit into the future.

    Thanks for all your help,

    Kyn

First of all, do you feel comfortable building it yourself?

    To give that option.

But that build is good for the price. (Solid all around.)
-I would suggest a slightly stronger video card =P check out the 5770 and 6770.

I do feel comfortable building one myself. I have a friend who has built computers for awhile who is willing to walk me through the steps and give some guidance. There are just some things i am nervous about buying and just would like more input haha.

If you don't have the windows 7 64bit disc you will have to get one or torrent it (if you have a serial) as problems can appear if you use a new part such as the motherboard with an old install.

The Windows 64 bit won't be a problem. I have the disc and plan on doing fresh installs. I will have to reformat my old drive as it is only running 32 bit Windows 7 at the moment.

That TigerDirect barebones kit will give you a good boost over what you currently have, I would add 4GB more memory to it (the performance gain for very small amount of money is huge) and look at any of the following cards:
    GTX 460: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130567 ($149 after rebate)
    GTX 560: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121446 ($200)
    Radeon HD 6770: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161387 ($120)
    Radeon HD 6850: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131374 ($154)

Any of those cards coupled with that barebones system will give you some great performance. Depending on your budget, having an SSD drive just for WoW really speeds up zone and texture loading times.

DigitalMocking - Thank you for the reply! I will look into those cards! I guess I should have added my budget as well, thank you mentioning that I will edit my post as well. Basically, I was intending on spending between 500-600 (not much but as a college student, money is tight :P)

Thanks again to all who have replied!

If you want a 560 you should get the TI version, either twin frozr III (or II, forgot what it was) or the EVGA Superclocked 560 TI.

Arslay - I did not see your edit! Thank you for the info! I assumed a stronger GFX Card would be needed. The 5670 was just one my friend had and I wanted to try out to see if i could get some better performance than my NVIDIA card.

EDIT: I have to go out for a bit but to everyone who has replied and might reply, thank you very much! I appreciate the help, I am always nervous when thinking about purchasing a new computer. -Kyn

That Tiger Direct kit and a 6770 comes in at just under 600 dollars, and will really make a huge difference over what you have right now. When you can swing it, add another 4GB of memory (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...472&CatId=4527) for 40 bucks.

Obviously you get more bang for your buck if you can go with the 560 or 6850, it'll give you more headroom for other games and the like, but the 6770 is no slouch of a card.
