    [Music] 8-bit nostalgia!

I'll have to apologize if this topic has been made before, a quick search gave me no hits.

Anyways, I was watching something on youtube today, and came across a video which started with what I'd call an 8-bit track. Which I've noticed that lately those seem to have become popular.

So I thought to myself, what kind of music have people made in 8-bit? To my surprise, there's a ton out there!
Listening to the different songs, gave me all kinds of nostalgia orgasms, simply because they all reminded me of the old school consol music.

Being a massive Daft Punk fan, I had to try to find something in 8-bit. So here's something for you guys to enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNJpMkgFfzA

But now my question for you is, have you fallen over an 8-bit track of an old song you love? Do you get the nostalgic orgasms aswell? Post your thoughts, and the links, and let the rest of us enjoy them aswell!

Thanks to Elyaan for the great sig!

8-bit "remixes" are cool as long as they're not GXSCC bullshit. (For those of you that don't know, "GXSCC" is a program that takes a MIDI file and turns it into "8-bit" with the click of a button, but it doesn't sound like 8-bit, and countless people use this program and post videos on youtube saying it's "8-bit" when it's not. Even worse are people claiming they created the music/remix...)

    Normal 8-bit remix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFgbo...eature=related
    Zero-effort GXSCC "remix": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOjVx...eature=related

See the difference? I dunno, maybe it's just me, but it just annoys me when people use GXSCC and claim "8-bit".

Anyways, some more Daft Punk for you, using Famitracker: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b17VlMagmHE

Words that lots of people don't seem to know the definition of:
"Troll", "Rehash", "Casual", "Dead", "Dying", "Exploit".

I can definitely hear the difference, though I must admit in some cases I can't figure out whether it's an actual 8-bit or a GXSCC remix.

But none the less, here's some chocolate rain! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caIBKOztlAo

This youtube channel here has a few well-known songs arranged in Mario Paint Composer. Awesome 8-bit sound, and it's fun to watch the notes fly by

My favourite is Black Eyed Peas - I Gatta Feeling

Found this again recently. Easily the most under rated 8bit track ever
