    Logitech Unifying Receiver

If anyone doesn't know what the unifying receiver is, click here.

I already have the M705 mouse (bought it for my laptop, but using it on my 2nd desktop at the moment).

I'll be buying a keyboard this week and I think I'll be getting this one (I need a wireless, comfortable one with multimedia keys and lightweight if possible).
Recently, I realised that the keyboard supports the unifying receiver aswell.

I was wondering if it's possible to plug a receiver on the desktop and the other on the laptop and have the keyboard and the mouse work with both computers. (obviously, I won't be using both the desktop and the laptop at the same time).

    Thanks in advance!

The devices will only be registered to 1 receiver however you can just take the receiver and transfer it every time you need to switch them over.
I have a mouse and keyboard using the unifying technology already must say it great to free up that extra usb slot.
