Just discovered this while randomly trying out domain names:

    wildstaronline.com
    wildstaronline.net
    wildstaronline.org
    wildstaronline.biz
    wildstaronline.mobi
    wildstar-online.com
    wildstar-online.net
    wildstar-online.org
    wildstar-online.biz
    wildstar-online.mobi
    wildstar-game.com
    wildstar-game.net
    wildstar-game.org
    wildstar-game.biz
    wildstar-game.mobi
    wildstarmmo.com
    wildstarmmo.net
    wildstarmmo.org
    wildstarmmo.biz
    wildstarmmo.mobi
They all show up with "By Invitation Only" and resolve to an IP range belonging to NCSoft:
    Code:
    ip_ranges.push_back(std::make_pair(boost::asio::ip::address_v4::from_string("64.25.32.0"),  boost::asio::ip::address_v4::from_string("64.25.47.255")));

Interesting trailer. I'm wondering how much information NCsoft will release at Gamescom.

The cartoony Aesthetics makes me think of He-man, thundercats and Earthworm jim.

It truely takes to the art style well.

Not bashing anything ToR here apart from those running around with ToR Avatars and signatures, because it seems they need to downrate anything that Isn't ToR.

This game seems to be for a widely different audience to ToR and seems to be much more interesting, I don't really like seeing new and interesting things bashed by grognards latched onto a corprorate shilling scam.

To be fair though, Aion was VERY eastern in design and function.

This looks to be alot more western, the artstyle looks very Disney/loony toonish.

It seems Inch by Inch, through trails and tribulations, NCsoft is determined to perfect the MMO genre.

Okay, that actually looked cool. Interested, and like the sound of the 'path' idea. Will watch this one

I'm actually pretty impressed by this livestream. From the description I thought the graphic/style wouldn't be for me so I'm surprised that I actually like it. The path system definitely sounds interesting... although I guess it would depend how much impact it has over the progress of the entire game or if it just means a few different quests and everyone ends up the same anyway.

I do like the look of it though.

    seeems pretty awesome.

I'm a diehard wow fan but this game has definitely struck a chord with me :P. My interest has been piqued enough to warrant following up the development of this one.

Btw, what I like from the devs of this game as opposed to 'some' *ahem* others is that they are quite appreciative of what Blizzard brought to the MMO table and are confident enough to give credit where credit is due whilst still managing to market their own game well. /cheer

It is pretty nice that they worked so long in secret and out of the box appear at gamescom with a playable game. As I said the past motnhs on this site Carbine Studios is a name you'll begin to hear more often.

On the other hand I am not really 100% convinced about the art style, it is unique and nice and colorful ... but now that most games look more and more realistic it is weird to have a company goign the oother way. Wow did that with its looks, too but when I play witcher II or any recent game and see the tons of cool and realistic effects I am not sure if I don't prefer more realism looking game. I know it is far too early to judge thse things and there is a lot more information to be heard. But I am not yet 100% convinced.

I......... I don't know. I hope for them, I hope they make enough money so they have some profit, it's a shame putting so much work and money in a game and come out negative. But I don't think I would play this game myself, from what I've read here.

It feels like Champion online. (Yes I know this isn't about super heroes, I'm just saying that's how I feel it'll end up)
