I got two small questions:

Maybe I am blind, but are there no Mordesh houses in the game? Would really be a shame...

Are the other paths as boring as Settler? You pick up tons of crap lying around on the ground, doing some retarded treasurehunt like tasks... This stuff takes for all eternity. Then we got those building ereas: We got to collect some stuff again lying aroundm give it to the NPC and nothing happens, the Building remains unfinished? Feels rather unimpressive to me. Sure, we got those vendor bots... But it just feels so boring and next to useless after all.

settler is by far the worst. The buff's don't make up for the sheer boring grind of it all. Explorer has some frustrating problems as well, mostly due to UI, and can feel somewhat overwhelming by the amount of objectives all at once. However I don't find any of the paths boring except for settler.

1. There are no pre-made Mordesh houses.

2. I settled with the settler path because it was the quickest in my view. The majority of building resources I received was from kill drops. Just throw a settler structure up and move on. I think all have treasure hunt missions, I wanted to do explorer but remembered being 99/100 on a map clear and did not see an area that was not uncovered. Really put me off on that path, going to every corner of a map just to have 1 little spot in the middle somewhere.

Heh I feel bad for you guys that rushed to 50. I am going to level like I did in Guild Wars 2 and take my sweet ass time. And by sweet ass time, I mean possibly 1-2 months.

People already answered the first one but yeah, no Mordesh houses unfortunately.

and it depends for the paths. On my Warrior I went with the Soldier path seeing as how it fit. The missions it gives are straightforward. A couple pop up near you, you go to a little hologram thing and go kill something, do a holdout, use a fancy weapon or tool on enemies(sometimes it makes challenges easier, for example there are a few SWAT missions that one-shot an enemy that's part of a challenge, easy gold medal), rescue people, that kind of thing. Extremely straightforward and easy to follow. You just run up to the hologram nodes and do whatever it says. Easiest one imo. That and the insta-100% health ability is REALLY nice when you wanna keep rolling through stuff and you don't have a lot of self-healing(such as on a DPS Warrior).

For Explorer it's a bit different. There are survey spots to generally see the landscape, some are trick to get to. There are some missions where you have to reveal resources to other people(this one sucks imo) and the like. I haven't dabbled with it much but it's mostly straightforward with some tricky bits on occasion.

I haven't done scientist much but it looks to be the most annoying due to how much crap you have to scan. Sometimes you have to scan an enemy you're currently killing, but since mobs despawn quickly after you kill them, it can get tough. Stalkers are really good for the Scientist path since you can sneak up to stuff and scan them before they see you. Also you look for datacubes which might require some googling, not too bad.

Settler also looks daunting and annoying, but basically just treat it like such: Check the map for the closest Settler path mission, then go do missions inbetween that lead to it usually. Or come back to it after finishing a mission, since mobs drop settler stuff to make those buff stations and the like. Just leisurely do 'em, though you might not finish all the missions in the zone, like the project ones unless you're willing to grind a bit and finish them by yourself if there are no other settlers around.

In short(imo), Soldier > Explorer > Settler = Scientist.

Quick question for anyone willing to reply. What class do you enjoy playing the most and is it DPS, healer or tank? I'm currently DPS Warrior and having fun with it. Very button spammy and your resource(if played right) usually never empties, it feels great.

I ask this mainly out of curiosity but it partially leads into wondering whether or not it's worth leveling a DPS Medic that might heal on the off-occasion. Most DPS I see in groups are Spellslingers, Warriors and the occasional Engineer and Stalker. Hardly ever see DPS Espers and Medics. Makes me wonder...

Finished Western Grimvault? Only suggestions I can say are to either PvP, spam challenges(Malgrave's easier to do 'em), or finish the 5-man quests if you didn't finish those in Southern Grimvault.

Yeah I finished, killed the big guy. Also did the 5m group stuff, that got me 2 bars. I guess I'll pvp for the 80% more of a bar.

I just can't get into this game. I used to be a hardcore raider back in wrath, and I enjoyed the appeal of having hard instances, but I just simply cannot get past the fact that leveling takes SOOOOO long. 25 hours of play time and I'm at level 23? Yikes.

You've got two real choices for levelling - efficient, or casual. You can either take your time and not worry about it, and get there when you get there (as I did). Or you can follow a guide/work it out yourself, and stay at the peak of the XP/quest curve and blast through it in ~25-30 hours.

It seems that there are people that are trying to do the efficient method, and getting distracted by other stuff, then coming back to a quest they were doing and getting crap XP. Then they complain about the levelling taking ages.

That's your fault. The first 50's were in less than 30 hours.

I actually find that Wildstar has the quickest leveling of any mmo I have played so far.

also about the lvl 50 solo content im sure the two new zones coming tomorrow or next week will offer more dailies and variation for people wanting to cap elder gems solo.

I seriously have no idea what it could be then, maybe MtV, but I doubt a marketplace scanner to scan items that are under vendor price as cheating....maybe something to do with my naga or nostromo? But it is not like I made macros for it or anything.

I don't believe they have any cheat detection. All the bans went out because of reports. Someone probably reported you.

Have no idea what they would report me for as it is for an exploit, if it was for maybe like rudeness or something I could understand but exploiting? I don't even go around mining anything(I just got into relic hunting), and I dont go afk in pvp, sometimes I do lag though and it could be confusing where my character is. Maybe that? I feel like I am drawing straws.

If anything having not cheat detection and only basing it on reports is stupid, are you saying me and my friends could just decide to report someone and claim they exploited, yet they do nothing wrong? Does carbine not even check into their claims and just ban people? Shame on them.

I regularly read the bot forums for the lulz and most weren't banned. The ones that were banned were idiots that were doing brazen stuff in front of people (like using infinite dash in pvp to get the flag before the other team could even see it). The fact that you see an insane amount of botters coupled with the botting forums chatting away like they don't have a care in the world leads me to believe that wave was reports only.

I guarantee you if you contact them they'll give you your account back.

I was not banned but suspended, but it is like a week suspension. If they do not un suspend my account I am just going to try to get them to refund me, I am going to play a game where they do not even check in there reports. What happens if I get banned and permanently? Guh.

I was really having fun with this game but they screwed it up.
