    More concerned by driver errors than anything else. Seen too many amateur builders with recurring driver errors by just installing the new board drivers over top.

    What you have mentioned does work and I've done it in my own system but when we are recommending something as simple as can be for an inexperienced user you can't beat a simple Windows 7 install.

    It's somewhat useful if you've already backed up everything for doing a test boot of the system. Otherwise just reinstall.
