We're around 30 heroic kills total now (25 man) and haven't seen hide nor hair of a Firestone yet. They're a myth if you ask me.

Gotta love it when half of your BiS gear comes from the VP vendor or rep vendor, and the stones simply don't have a noticable droprate (raiding 25m).
I'm so gonna be benched in 4.3 >_>
8 Heroic kills on 10man and only 1 Firestone.
We've killed 6/7hc since the second week of HCs and seen like 4 of them (10-man). Cleared the 6 bosses yesterday, no stones. Nice fix.
the "increased firestones" change seems to be as good as the change to Baradin hold who now "has more pve loot" when he droped a single pve item when we kiled him on 25 yesterday, hunter legs which we sharded.
Around 16 heroic kills here so far, and only seen 1 drop...apperently Blizzard has increased the drop chance, but it seems it went from 1% to 2% just :/
4/27 heroic 25 man kills dropped them. 2 of them this reset.
We've killed 37 heroic Bosses und got like 10 ... not too good, not too bad. Last ID we had none out of 6 heroic bosses. The ID before we've got 6 out of 6 Bosses. Strange things
We got 3 firestones (6/7HM) this reset. It was christmas!
yesterday was my first heroic kill and a firestone dropped !
Wowhead figures (Not saying it's any use, but it's best info I could find based on actual drops):
Shannox -
10man : 56/345 16.2%
25man : 73/910 8.0%
Rhyo -
10man : 5/54 9.25%
25man : 7/160 4.35%
Beth - Figures are boned. 2/2 on 10 man, 0/0 on 25 0_o
Aly -
10man : 3/12 25%
25man : 2/175 1%
Bale -
10man : 1/14 7.1%
25man : 2/30 6.6%
Major -
10man : 1/16 6.3%
25man : 15/79 18.9%
Rag - No kills recorded
Odd results, and they mean little without context, but hopefully it provides some info that is not anecdotel.
TL: DR - 10 man drop-rates are consistantly better than 25 (other than Domo, which seems an error on recording part), however this drop rate will most likely be sub- 15%.
If you look at the sample sizes, 25 man has a far bigger sample size, so I think that's a more accurate result, 10man from those results could easily just be RNG at play.
12 vs 175 samples, yeah of course there's going to be some disparity.
As it said, it's a bit skewered but helpful to peruse.
I'm not 100% on how wowhead gets its figures, but I;m guessing it's character by character. Increased likelihood of people from the same raid providing the same results in 25 man? .... Meh, skewered.
