Unhappy Best Realm for Hilarious Role-Play??

I want to role play, but I kind of want a little bit of comedy. I still can't find a good server. I think I am going to select Moonguard. What the easiest (alliance, but non-human) race to roleplay?? Either pandaren or gnome...

Try to google which RP server has more relaxed RPers. Because the super serious RPers wouldn't appreciate the comedy. And they love that report button.

as much as I know about the rp community.... They have the least humor of any group.... all too serious about their rp aspects.

This is a complete myth. There's plenty of role-players out there with a sense of humour.

Yes, just go for moon guard. Moon guard has all sorts of roleplayers ranging from beginners to experts, noobs who want to RP as anything like a vampire sparkle fairy to people who get angry if you break the lore even slightly. You can't go wrong, because no matter how you want to RP, you'll always find others who'll want the same on MG, seeing as it's such a high pop realm. Heck, there are even a bunch of furry guilds if you're into that. All I suggest is that no matter what rp realm you're on or however you want to RP, just at least try and pick a fitting RP name, avoid names like xxarthasqtx or other ridiculous names.

    Pick a Goblin and join/find a goblin related guild/group.

Scarlet Crusade or Feathermoon are good choices. Kirin-Tor, too.

I haven't logged on to my character there in a while, but Blackwater Raiders has always been fun. It was always lower population, but lots of fun once you found some friends to play with. No idea how the whole cross realm / linked realm thing affected that. I never really had to deal with the whole "role players who take it way too seriously" thing on Blackwater Raiders.

Moon Guard has a reputation for the whole Goldshire Inn thing, but aside from that, it can be a lot of fun too.

Moon Guard should be fine, or maybe Wyrmrest Accord? I agree with what some people are saying too. Make a Gnome or Goblin and find a predominantly Gnome/Goblin guild. Those tend to be the most amusing, IMO.

Depends on your region, I'd imagine.

For US, it's Moonguard. Ignoring their ERP reputation, they're supposedly extremely active for regular roleplay and have a number of RP guilds. Or not ignoring their ERP reputation, if that's your bag.

Any high pop RP server will probably have what you want. Some of the medium and low ones have RP but usually require you to join the right guilds, know the right people, or hunt for it.

Although I play Hordeside on Kirin Tor and can't speak to the Alliance side, I still disagree with this assessment. I can't recall the last time I actually crossed anyone RPing in town or out in the world. It might happen in private groups but I imagine for a new person it's not easy to find those kinds of groups. And my friends that roleplay on Feathermoon/Scarlet Crusade complain about the lack of RP all the time.

/doesn't RP but plays on a couple RP servers

Moon Guard is pretty relaxed, just don't take anything seriously. I'm convinced that everyone everywhere is trolling. Even if you ask for a price check in trade chat, you'll get 10 clever quips before you'll get an actual answer. If you don't like ERP, you might be uncomfortable when you realize there are about 3 different openly erotic guilds.

Sentinels used to be very chill and sometimes goofy. However last I checked, the RP had died with Cataclysm. Maybe that's changed.

Wyrmrest Accord is a definite no unless things have changed in the last few years. The RP there is very guild-based and very serious. Unfortunately that means anyone who roleplays as a goblin or a gnome is almost immediately dismissed as trolling. It's even hard to roleplay as a Dwarf. If you want some real hard-fantasy, strict quality control, and you can get yourself into a clique, WrA can't be beat for its quality. But you won't find jokey RP there.

I've also roleplayed on Ravenholdt, which seemed sparse compared to Moon Guard and WrA, but it was pretty solid if you're into PvP servers.

I've heard good things about Feathermoon as well, but I don't have experience with it.
The post that Blizzard banned me for:
2014-11-28 19:55:26 [Trade - City] Potassiumgluconate: female dwarf butts are the best thing that this expansion has given us.
    Butts are a touchy subject.

There was a ton of it prior to 6.0 (I haven't gone back to the old world), especially in Duskwood, where groups would escort each other through the danger zones, talking the whole time. I RP'd a few times with a few people, including a worgen who entered my room while I was sleeping. Scared him with my demon form rawrgghghshgd!!

Wyrmrest Accord has some issues but is generally a nice place to crash. There's a lot of complaints about people feeling they've been policed, and I know a few folks who've been Horde for life who migrated to WrA and eventually went Alliance because they've felt they didn't know whatever secret knock was involved in getting integrated into Horde RP.

All anecdotal, though. Grain of salt, etc. I haven't had any problems on WrA.

Moonguard has a strong RP crowd. My server does cross-realm with them, and I see them all over the place doing their RP stuff.

  16. #16
Yeah, I tried Wyrmest Accord with about three Orcs and one tauren. Nobody would even talk to me, even when tried to engage them in conversation. I don't want it to be too ridiculous, but a little humor and some tolerant people would be nice.

I've had much, much, much better luck Alliance side. You still see some weird stuff - usually from Worgen, Death Knights, or Death Knight Worgens, heh - but for the most part it's a pretty conducive environment for good times.

Okay, if I could only find a good gnome name??

I play on Alliance side WRA, and I play an odd combo I play a Female Dwarf Death Knight.

Honestly I don't see a lot of RP, as I'm more of one to watch then integrate slowly into it, then jump in. I too seem to gravitate to the more light hearted RP that hopefully leads to adventure and not just sitting in a tavern all the time. But I've been SoL so far. Considering up and moving to Moon Guard TBH.
