    Three - by now old - monitors: 19" 22" 19"
XMBC for all my movies and series lays claim to one 19" screen.
WoW, SC2 or whatever else goes on the 22".
That leaves a 19" free for my browser, teamspeak etc.

Single 21". I would like a bigger one but see no real point in having more than 1.

Technically 2, I have my 24" main screen on my computer and my second screen is my 18" laptop which I use for watching videos mainly.

I used to think the same way. Personally I like not having to tab out update excel spreadsheets for attendance, loot received, or even just to look at a funny link someone posted in game. It's a matter of convenience really, not necessity.

Having more than 1 screen can really make your average computer work easier. If you're playing a game, you can have internet/music on the other screen. If you're writing a report, you can have your work on one screen and research/internet on the other. Basically, the more space you have the less tabbing back and forth. With 2x 1080p screens you can have up to 4 pages (word) up at the same time which means that you can work simultaneously with 3 sources (to, for example, look for quotes or information) while writing your essay.
I've also found it to make streaming easier. I can have all the streaming software/windows on one screen, and then stream the other - meaning that the ones watching will never see if I change settings or w/e.

Using Acer AL1706 17" as my web browsing monitor etc... and my DMTECH 20" for everything else. I do have Dell Ultrasharp for all my graphics work but thats only for viewing movies and graphics.

2 Monitors and extra one for graphics only. But looking to replace my 2 others for gaming monitors with 80Hz+ and 2ms-4ms response timer at around 24" +

I was planning on getting 2 screens with my new PC, but then I received a bunch of gift certificates and switched to MAC. The 27'' screen is amazing and I am not planning on getting another screen. However, at work I use 2 screens as I do a lot of proofreading, so I need both versions of the document open at once (I also like saving the environment by not having to print so much paper).

Currently using 2x Acer 24". I kinda have it like one in the middle right infront of me and one on the right, next to the middle one. Works really nice, I love having 2 monitors so I can see stuff on WoW while I'm browsing or even farm something on WoW while I'm watching a TV show/movie. ^_^

    22" Acer and a 20" LG
And now you see that evil will always triumph, because good is dumb.

    Hanns-G 22 inch and Acer 20 inch.

Playing with two monitors is a god send...I don't know how I ever played with one before. I'd even occasionally find a use for a third one if I had it.

    Two 27" SyncMaster P2770

One atm, although I use my laptop for movies/browsing (like now!) next to it while gaming.

I will be adding an IPS-screen soon, and after a while, two further, and use my current as an "off-monitor" in said eyefinity-rig. (ie, 3+1 eyefinity)
Possibly add a secondary 6970 as well

Technically four, but it's 3 monitors + a Cintiq. All four have specific purposes when I'm working, but I don't use them all while gaming, except maybe one to watch TV on or browse while waiting on something in-game.
